The decent play continues: And the impossible happened: Oh wait. Sloaner hadn’t teed off yet. The slow greens got me in R4. Lots of putts on line that ended up a foot or two short of the hole. Still, it’s the first time I’ve finished a USE tournament under par (Or any other tournament) in 2k21. I’ll take it! 😀

-20, pretty good. Winning score on tour last time around was -19.

I actually played great for a half a round. On my R4, I was even after 9 holes!
I got nervous then, and started rushing my swings as a result and pretty much bogied the entire back nine.
But it can be done!

Not sure what the penalty is but I accidentally used shot shaper for 3 shots on the first three holes of round 2. Bone head me did it again in round one of week 5 so I have to go check the stream again to see how many shots I took using it.

Good on you Sir, great sportsmanship.

Hmmm, I thought that would be akin to using the loft box from 19.

Hmm, can we really not dial in shots with the shot shaper?
@sloaner - you are at the top of this game, what’s your take on the 2k21 shot shaper?
Personally I don’t mind it for speciality shots from behind trees and such, but prefer to shape with swing for normal situations... with the current effects of fast and slow I think all the tools are there with the swing itself.
But have no strong opinion about if it should stay or go, really.

LW 77-85 yards SW 87-100 yards GW 103- 115 yards PW 117-132 yards 9i 134-148 yards 8i 146-157 yards 7i 156-165 yards 6i 170- 182 yards 4i 190-200 yards 3i 202-215 yards 3h 218-224 yards In conjunction with draw and fade or fast and slows there is no unhittable yardage.

If true shot is allowed it’s pretty much tst with no follow cam or splash shots.

If true shot is allowed it’s pretty much tst with no follow cam or splash shots. I’d say ban it here, but with no stock punch shot it has to be used to create the punch. Unrealistic for a sim society to say “no punch shots allowed”. Then there’s the right stick launch angle. We need to be able to throw a wedge right up into the air like any pro golfer can do. So yeah, probably much closer to TST than in 2019. And we limit ourselves to real courses (usually top-notch RCRs).

I find that lofting up doesn't really shorten distance like before but hitting a lower ball flight does go longer though, but that's a good shot to play into a headwind for me it's also nice to be able to get some spin on the ball in this game. Also with chipping it's nice to have more run out from the rough and a lower ball flight, way too much spin again from the heavy stuff and stops too quickly. Nice to be able to hit a draw and fade that starts on the outside/inside and curves back. This game is much harder than TGC2019 and there are penalties for swing plane and tempo box when using true shot, I vote to keep it.

Been wondering this myself. Definitely seems to take off distance, especially on pitch shots, to me...
