Is it the partial pitch you are struggling with Jeff? You can pull back the left stick a bit if the backswing is too fast to slow it down to make it easier to guage the backswing. Not a huge difference from TST apart from not using splash outside of bunkers. We have had a tough start to season 3 with all 3 courses quite difficult. TST still allows follow cam and ghost balls and marker. All very helpful if you know how to use them just so. There’s a reason USE bans them, besides the obvious increase in immersion. For the record, I don’t have any problem with players using those aids, I just prefer the USE way. And zzfr33b1rdzz, I think Paul is right. I dipped my toe in the TST waters, and our USE courses are quite hard compared to theirs. EDIT: In all my TST rounds I play USE rules anyway, so I suck when I play there as well. Just not as bad as here. Freebird is on to something: I definitely feel less pressure over there which does increase the fun just a bit. I stress out in USE like I was getting a damn paycheck at the end of the tournament! 😀 I am finding it hard to play TST as I really don't like that marker, the fact we can't turn it off is annoying. I would rather play USE practice round or course testing than TST so will give it a miss over there. I am playing the solo career with USE settings when I get a chance and just qualified for the PGA Tour so that is my secondary tournaments.

Don't know how much more I can take with this. I get the whole SIM deal, but it's just not turning into any fun for me putting up +20 per round scores. Thought I was getting better as I am right around +2 to +5 on TST, but for some reason USE is always much worse for some reason. I can take the occasional high score, but every round is just getting plain ridiculous. I end up speed golfing just to get it over with - which as I said, not fun.. We'll see, I give it a few more weeks, but if I drop off the boards, you'll know why.. Jeff, I'm in the same boat as you. I like playing USE but these crazy high scores are really frustrating.

It must be the pressure for me jeff! I played 2 practice rounds on TPC River Highlands. I shot -2 on each round. Then I played our Tournament R1 and shot +13. I was so ticked I played speed golf the rest of the way to just finish the tournament.

Also like real golf you need to put those blow up holes behind you. Yes your blood is boiling because you hit a quadruple bogie but it's not going to help you for the next hole unless you putt it behind you. Sounds like a good golf mentality.

Paul, I did slow it down in the first round. My tempo was way off in the society rounds compared to my (play now) practice rounds. I put two shots in the water and was getting slows and fasts. I always try for a perfect because I believe that is how the game was intended. I could be wrong though. After shooting +13 in one round as far as I'm concerned the tournament was over. That's why I just played fast the last 3 rounds to get it over with. As Jeff (Freebird) said, it is sucking the fun out of this game. I realize there are a small group of people that are doing well, but everyone doesn't have the same skill level or unlimited time to practice. Here is a video by Respawn on playing for a fast swing.

Round 2 and was going along quite well until the 16th. That pin..... You’ve outdone me Art! I only had a five putt 7 to that pin! There were quite a few pins on steep slopes today, that’s the issue with HBs courses, the pins are placed by non / inexperienced golfers. From having worked as a Greenkeeper in my youth, we were always drilled to cut the pins on flat parts of the green and 6ft away from severe slopes and a similar distance from the edges of greens

In one night I had my best round ever in USE 2k21 and my best round ever in TST 2k21. Wish I could bottle it! (The US meaning of “bottle it”, not the UK meaning) I drove the green on 14 and promptly 4-putted for a bogey. I was a bit miffed as my normal putting stroke suddenly sent the ball twice as far as usual. Out of nowhere. I think there is something to the theory that the game throws random stuff at you from time to time. OT: I’m kinda proud of my TST round! Clean card and everything. First clean card in any round in 2k21!

Played really solid the last three rounds, my putting was way way better than before (although the slower green speeds helped a lot!). Still struggling with super long putts with big elevation changes, but getting better. The highlights for me in this tournament were some nice up & down shots. First was on the 15th in round 3 - 3w off the tee leaving me a 24m chip, short birdie putt Second video was on the 8th par3 hole in round 4. I missed the green way left, decided to chip it to the green as I still feel the partial pitch gives me way too erratic results.

Wasn't fully focused heading into my second round. And it showed in the first three holes. Made a long putt on the 4th for par to stop that bogey train. There were signs of at least bringing it back to a respectable number. Just missed on a few birdie chances. Some days you've got a better feel than most and that's golf for you. Been putting too much pressure on the short game as my FIRs hasn't been very good past few rounds. Tough to make up strokes here at River Highlands. Two more rounds to play the best of it. +9 heading into the Third.
