Question about object meter for andersnm, paddyjk19 or any USE designers that use Lidar. When I load up the course in the designer, it shows my object meter at 80.1%. When I continue planting it drops to 13.1%. Which is my current object meter at now? Is the reason why it's like that due to being a Lidar course? I've got pretty much everything that I want on the course now for objects (grass, trees, buildings, fences etc). Memory is at 45.6% at the moment.

Still moving along. On the back nine now with planting trees/etc on the course. Lots to do but slowly crossing things off the list. A few screenshots of the par 5 10th and par 3 11th.

The lower number you get after deleting or planting is the correct number when it comes to object meter.

Update on progress. Finally put down all the trees on Harding Park and Fleming. Started to figure out what trees were best to get the look I wanted on the back nine, might have to adjust a few on the front. Lots to do on the perimeter of the course along Lake Merced still (grass/bushes/more trees etc). Good to see a little bit of progress each time I spend designing. I'll eventually get there!

Obviously with this being a Lidar course. The playability side of things are spots on. Playing from the rough on some holes is almost an automatic bogey. And feel like all the trees are placed in the right spots/heights as some tee shots you've got to shape it in to the fairways and greens. But the one thing that was bugging me are the lack of options with the Cypress trees. Did some brainstorming and looked at bspetty's Cypress Point to check out how he got the look of the Cypress trees as the ones on Harding Park are the same origin. Asked him how he got the larger ones done and he combined two of them together. Planted a few on the first hole with different trees and I really like the look of them. With all the really well done RCRs that designers have made, they absolutely nail down the atmosphere of the layout. It'll suck about having to go back and redo them but shouldn't take as long as I think knowing what tree does what now. Wish I would've found this out in the beginning. 1st hole Test tree farm on the driving range

Took a break from re-planting all the trees. They look way better now, just got to get creative with them. While watching the Masters decided to plant the grass and bushes along the 18th at Harding Park. Like I've said before, somehow, some way I will find my way to the finish line on this course

Was planning to get my second round in at The Players, but I couldn't put down the controller in the designer this evening. Finally feel I've found a good combo of trees to get the look I've been really searching for. Got a lot of the grass planted from 17 back to 15 along Lake Merced too. Kona coffee, good music and podcasts helped for this session. 😀 Here's a screenshot of the 15th tee.

I took actually a long time to learn the double water trick - it was.. not very intuituve for me. So even though it is okay at Harbour Town - I could do it a lot better now. You will also see that I did not do this trick on Losby - and the retaining wall work there is not as good as it could be with double water. Btw - Harding Park is week 35 in our schedule - so you have plenty of time

As it looks more like a drop off than a subtle gradient especially on a lake. Can really tell when you look at the overhead yardage book. Looked even better on the third part but I messed up the what I had planted and couldn't figure out the sculpting to get it looking proper again. So exited and reloaded my save. Seems we learn as we go along and get better. What was your first course that you made by the way Anders? Wow! That's fantastic news that it's going to be on the USE schedule! Thanks! 👍😎

I am going to be member at Atlungstad GK next year. I have not ported those two courses - because I want to redo Atlungstad GK, and I was on my way to redo Mjøsen GK when my old PC crashed and I lost the file. Not sure if I want to redo Mjøsen GK, but I may do that at some point.

Been playtesting and the one thing I've forgotten is that a majority of players use scout cam and there is quite a lot more than you can see as not everyone plays USE like we do. An example would be the 17th. The fence behind it pretty much blocks the view. But with scout cam you can pretty much see everything. So looks like I'll be planting the Lake Merced Recreation Area too
