Miklagard Golf (Tour) is published.
Very firm and fast greens work very well on this course. I set the default speed to fast 171 - just to get an option between fast and very fast in the game.

This means that I am done porting courses from TGC 2019.
I am now diving into PGA de Catalunya in Spain - and I am doing a collab on this with Han (Brabazon at the Belfry, Valderrama). We will do both courses - the Tour course and the Stadium course at PGA de Catalunya Resort. I will most probably work on several courses - as Han is going to do some work on Catalunya as well.

Good news for those that like lidar data: There will be no need to mask anything - the data will take no object meter at all. So you can just run Chad's tool and forget about the masking.

Does it just not use “memory” instead? I just set up a LiDAR and it used 14% memory, might be worth testing with a mask and without to see if this makes a difference to memory, I hit 96% memory doing west hill but also used lots of different objects, probably won’t be an issue if you’re not merging themes and objects too much

So perhaps it is wise to mask a bit? I think it depends on the course, if it’s lots of trees and lots of hills it might be worth it to still mask areas not in play, if you use the remove cliffs part on the tool it smooths where the mask is anyway based on the elevation data at the edge of the red paint but still saves you lots of memory, my worst fear is always to do 14 holes and find out I’ve run out of meter, as long as the LiDAR is correct for the greens I’m happy, the rest I tend to re-sculpt anyway like the bunkers, tees and paths so my mask is pretty close usually

The course and layout is very challenging. Gives you different options to go about certain holes. But if you don’t hit it in the fairway or short side yourself to get up and down, this course will penalize you for it and then some. Played this course about a handful of times and broke 80, once. And yup, just checked and it’s on the USE schedule. 👍

Went on golf designer's tour last night after time spent on Harding Park. Played Holtsmark, Bjaavann, Helsinki, West Hill and El Camaleon just to see the level of detail on certain things. Great reference on how designers do things. Saw things I really didn't notice before in my first playthroughs of them. I get that players want to play the more known coures. But a lot of your courses deserve more plays for sure andersnm. In fact, headed back to Bjaavann now!

That is the case for the less known courses, and the known and famous as well. My care - is that I want the courses to be well done and as realistic as I can make them in the designer. Learning new things all the time - so I always think my next recreation should be better made than the last etc. And - the design-community in USE has become really good. Which is a benefit for us all with well made recreations - and tips and tricks to help us solve things in the designer and Chad's tool

Such care and attention to detail is rare.
