Yes - putting is the thing that is most different. Thing is - you need to move back slow and carefully watch the avatar. No rash movements, but careful. It is very easy to hit too long - and if you are too careful - too short. But once you get into the rythm of it - it is great. Really great. Great tip as well. I was hitting too long or too short. Going to give it another go. Is this true for all the swings? Should I pull back and downswing slower when calibrating my swing?

On full shots, pitches, flops etc I pull back the same way as I did in TGC 2019. I also find the tempo in the game suits me very well - and it is not very different for me compared to TGC 2019.

Hit the range and practice green first Wade. I started on masters now playing legend Paul, do you have the game for PS4? If so what graphic settings are you using in game and on the PS4 Pro? Actually been playing it on PC all day. Gonna get it now on PS4 and set up the USE society. Need to set up some tournaments. Going away tomorrow till Monday. I do have a PS4 pro Wade so I'll check out the graphic settings.

I just ported over El Camaleon GC - Mayakoba. I went through the shot tutorial and played my course on Legend and shot a +42 lol. Putting was the most difficult. Very fast reaction time needed lol. My Achilles heel is pulling the putt but getting better at it. You have to hit putts much softer than 2019, I like that. Hole mechanics are so much better also.

I think I'm still in 2019 swing mode. The backswing doesn't matter in 2k21 right? It's all in the downswing?

Sorry, I didn't specify, I was talking the driver swing. I need to play more rounds. I started at +42 for my first 2 rounds and got it down to +20's lol. I have to realize that close putts are not gimmie's like in 2019 lol. It is much more real now. Also have you had a chance to look at your graphics on the ps4 and in game? Thanks

just got the game, started on masters with a 1st round of +18 2nd round +10, taking me sometime to get use to the new control system, changing clubs etc. think i have the putting sorted , I prefer the game without the power bar I found it very distracting I prefer to watch my golfers animation. I have not had one perfect shot yet even on the driving range and I am hooking most of my shots, think I will start allowing for it and aim to the right.
A lot more practice needed before I even think about competing on U S E loving the game its like starting all over again

I think the new game is cracking!
I have started on Pro difficulty because they say that equates to Masters in the old game. Played about 10 rounds before I shot under par, but as I have got used to the new swing tempo's the score is improving. Just managed a nice -6 in my last round in the Korn Ferry Tour. I think the putting is great when you get used to it.
I am going to enjoy this.

I just dropped to Pro and shot a +15. I have only played about 6 rounds so I have a long way to go. My biggest issue right now is my short game and putting.

Just checking in, as I played my first 3 rounds on my copy last night!
Like all of you, I am having most trouble with the putting.
I played 3 rounds all on master last night. started with a +35, but then brought it down over the course of the night. I got to where I could get to the greens in reg, or 1 extra, but was putting 2-20million putts each time. LOL
I'll try the advice you guys gave here, and probably try to bump it down to pro and see what happens to. I really like the new version of the game, just gonna have to get some practice in and get used to it.
So as I read the comments, on putting, it does not matter how hard you press the stick forward? Does that mean the whole thing of how hard you hit it is governed only by the amount that you pull back?

I can't recommend hitting the practice green enough for putting feel for distance. I was on it for 2 hours yesterday. Having a quick go of the Switch version as I am away this weekend. Not quite the same but it's great for a handheld golf game.

The main thing for me, so far, is I can't get a feel for it. (putting)
I can't work out the distance until i get a feel for how it works. Every putt either goes 2 inches, or way faster than I think, and I have yet to "feel" it either way, as to what exactly is wrong. The putts that seem to go the right distance are all going off the left at a 45 degree angle. I am basically putting 4-6 times per green till I can get the ball to stop right at the hole.
