I just hope August will actually fix this mess. gavlaar124 thats exactly the kind of stuff that happens to me. On round 4, I was playing along really good. Then suddenly, inexplicably, it hit very slow. And if felt exactly the same as it had when I was hitting perfect or just barely fast/slows. Did that for a hole or two, then bam, all was fine again. Its not so much the game of golf that frustrates me so bad, I actually like golf. Its this stupid broken part of the computer simulation that gets me so frustrated.
If you mean tempo issues due to lag/framerate - I doubt they will be able to "fix it". However, for myself - it may feel the same - but if I get wrong tempo, it is because I did something wrong - and I have no problem accepting that (my PC is good, so I do not get framerate/lag issues). I suspect (though I am not claiming you or Gav don't have sudden lag issues causing tempo problems) many who thinks this is "broken" is doing the bad tempo themselves without realising it - and then claim the game is "broken". The reason I think this - is because as long as you have the tempo inside the cone, all is good and it is straight. But once your outside, and it don't need to be much, it will be a pretty big miss. I don't like this design in the game - though it is not "broken", so I hope they have dropped this hard line on the higher difficulties and have misses from the complete center point. This way you will always have a fade or a draw and never a straight shot - which is the realistic thing in golf. And you will not get such big misses from small changes in your tempo. I think it would be better to have a gradual increase in misses all the way from the easiest difficulty, but from the video they have released - it seems they have this hard line there as well (so most likely they have a hard line on the cone of the tempo also on higher difficulties). So I think you ought to prepare for the same issues in the new game when it comes to tempo. HB also made tempo much more important than swingline - because it is much harder to cheat on tempo vs. swingline. I agree completely with that decision, but that made this hard line on the blue cone on tempo much bigger and that feels weird when you on one swing can be just inside the cone, and the next just outside - and the miss on the outside is huge. For a game that has courses that are user created the consoles should have graphic options to achieve better framerates. I have noticed a lack of smoothness on the PS4 Pro on some courses more than others.

They have the "plant meter" as a restriction - but the problem is that a designer can overplant an area near a hole, and this can cause issues even with good overall graphic settings..

A simple setting in graphics like performance mode could boost the performance for the next game for consoles. I have heard playing the PS4 Pro in 1080p gives a better performance in the game.

I get a very solid 60fps while playing, on my little monitor thing I run.
One of the reasons that I think it is lag related, is because I get problems due to that in other games also. I play PUBG, and my aim is off sometimes, and its all due to the lag between my end and the server side. I have a 200mbs connection, but spectrum has these problems where it suddenly just dips down to very slow speed, or even drops out, then it comes back. Its very random, but the internet goes out at least once a week, and I reboot the modem and it pops right back on. But a lot of times we get these weird little spikes where it will drop to 60 mbs for a few seconds or minutes, then its ok.
I've played enough to where I feel I can judge when its my own mistake. I run the feedback monitor, so I have gotten used to what it is supposed to feel like. I can actually tell when I make a mistake, and hit fast or slow, and the feedback monitor shows it exactly as I think it should be. But at very random times, I am hitting in such a way as it feels close to perfect, but I get a very fast or very slow, and it is off the scale on the feedback monitor. I continue to hit the same way, and after a few shots or a hole or two, it comes right back to what I think it should be. In those cases, I really think it is something going on with my internet lag, since this game is a client/server connection. And that is also why it does not affect everyone the same way. Because if your internet connection is not doing what I know for a fact mine is doing (from other games that really show it like pubg, or when I see it when not even gaming), then you would not have this happen to you.
Sad to say, if that problem is the same in the new game in August, I don't see me getting it, or waiting to getting it when its really really discounted. Right now a really good friend of mine, and my son are playing this, they got it on a sale, and I don't see either of them paying again for the full price version. I'm having a great time playing casual rounds with them on Sat. night, as we all are the same skill level.

Have you thought about changing your Internet provider? I used to have so many disconnects playing the game with a powerline connection, was ruining my experience in the game. I have a Wi-Fi motherboard now, not one single disconnect. I don't experience the same problems you have when I had 50mb Internet or now when I have 100mb.The ping (Latency) is the most important thing when playing games, you could be having problem with that. You can measure what you're getting with a Internet speed test.

I don't know what Josia's situation is, but for many/most Americans, they often only have 1 or maybe 2 providers they can pick from. It's an absolute monopolistic racket over there.

Then they're pretty screwed if you are getting pretty poor ping timings which will cause lag in games like Josia got in PUBG. I did a check and I am getting 11ms, any thing under 50ms is really good.

I tried the 95% shot on the 17th - and must have gotten a 90% because I ended up short (I usualy miss long).. and then I can't remember how I ended up in the water again after that..

You went long on your first tee shot with the 8 iron, I hit a 9 iron to the front of the green and left myself a really tough putt over the tier. Your second tee shot was definitely a 90% or even a 85% as the avatars backswing animation was short. Great pin on round 4 really makes the hole challenging.

Yup, I didn't even think about the ping, in games where it shows your ping, I do see mine randomly spike, and I believe this is what is happening. When it is working, it works great, 200mbs connection with speed tests, and pings around 10-20ms. But you sit there and watch it, especially in one game I have where it shows the ping,, and it is perfectly fine for 45 minutes, then all the sudden spikes up above 100 for a second or a minute, then it goes back to normal. Sometimes it stays there for a couple minutes, and these are the times it usually goes down completely, and I reboot the modem and it is perfectly fine.
Like LKeet6 says, Spectrum is really my only option. AT&T offers internet but its not available on my road, so the only other option is satellite, which is stupid expensive and really slow.
And if you call Spectum support, they are awful. I guarantee you most of us here know more than these people know, they are just reading a script. It takes forever to get a technician out, so most people dont' bother with it, its too much hassle to deal with them. I may get around to it one day, but you really have to have time and be in a decent mood to deal with these people.
One thing I have thought about is changing out the modem itself to see if that helps. But we have our phone through it, and the really good gaming modems don't offer the voice ports. The ones with voice ports are pretty much no different than the one I have.

A good guide here Josia, maybe try some of the suggestions here. www.guidingtech.com/how-to-fix-high-ping-on-windows-10/

The Players Championship final leaderboard booze2407's -31 gives him a 2 stroke victory over gavlaar124, stoneysooner is a stroke further back in 3rd on -28. Low round of the week is a fantastic 63 by booze in round 2 and Big M Tiger in round 1. Shot of the weeks is Wade's ace on hole 13 in round 4. 19th place should be Polekatt not pakalolo
