Round 3. Two different societies, both with rain! I do not like the rain, when it comes to my pixel golf the rain can remain on the plain in Spain. (it does not effect my gameplay, just gets in my head where there is no room). Did manage a decent round tho: numbers It does effect the gameplay if we adjust the conditions to match it, softens up the course and slows the fairways and greens down. Anyway nobody likes rain irl so we shouldn't here, also an excuse for slower greens and I have heard it can rain in Florida sometimes Only on family vacations.

Card for Round 3. Forgot to take a screenshot for Round 4 because I am so frustrated with this game at the moment, it was +5 I think. Having really bad tempo problems at the moment, usually have no problems at all. The putting with this mode of play is so bloody frustrating, I don't see how you are supposed to read the short putts, lost so many strokes with short putts breaking(or not). Really don't see how it can be done and score decently, the resolution of the greens isn't clear enough. I will probably give it a break for a bit and go back to Pro clubs to get this tempo issue addressed.

Reading the greens takes practice Simon the more you play the better you will get. Stick with master clubs, you will never improve tempo playing pro clubs.

and again.
played brilliantly for 3/4 of a round, and one quad bogey ruined my entire experience, round, and match.

Couldn't not play Sawgrass and would probably be leading thru 2 rounds if it wasn't for Hb bullshit. Very fast into the drink in round one and again on 17 in round 2 as for 18 I don't know what happened ball just flew left into the water on my second shot, reacted like a very fast swing but hub said perfect perfect???

Can you guess what happened in rounds 3 and 4? Yep that's right more Hb bullshit very fast downswings into water and even got a slow into the drink on 17 in round 4. Game is so broken August can't get here soon enough

I just hope August will actually fix this mess. gavlaar124 thats exactly the kind of stuff that happens to me. On round 4, I was playing along really good. Then suddenly, inexplicably, it hit very slow. And if felt exactly the same as it had when I was hitting perfect or just barely fast/slows. Did that for a hole or two, then bam, all was fine again.
Its not so much the game of golf that frustrates me so bad, I actually like golf. Its this stupid broken part of the computer simulation that gets me so frustrated.

If you mean tempo issues due to lag/framerate - I doubt they will be able to "fix it". However, for myself - it may feel the same - but if I get wrong tempo, it is because I did something wrong - and I have no problem accepting that (my PC is good, so I do not get framerate/lag issues). I suspect (though I am not claiming you or Gav don't have sudden lag issues causing tempo problems) many who thinks this is "broken" is doing the bad tempo themselves without realising it - and then claim the game is "broken". The reason I think this - is because as long as you have the tempo inside the cone, all is good and it is straight. But once your outside, and it don't need to be much, it will be a pretty big miss. I don't like this design in the game - though it is not "broken", so I hope they have dropped this hard line on the higher difficulties and have misses from the complete center point. This way you will always have a fade or a draw and never a straight shot - which is the realistic thing in golf. And you will not get such big misses from small changes in your tempo. I think it would be better to have a gradual increase in misses all the way from the easiest difficulty, but from the video they have released - it seems they have this hard line there as well (so most likely they have a hard line on the cone of the tempo also on higher difficulties). So I think you ought to prepare for the same issues in the new game when it comes to tempo. HB also made tempo much more important than swingline - because it is much harder to cheat on tempo vs. swingline. I agree completely with that decision, but that made this hard line on the blue cone on tempo much bigger and that feels weird when you on one swing can be just inside the cone, and the next just outside - and the miss on the outside is huge.

If it was a problem with the game wouldn't we all be having these issues. It sounds like it could be framerate problems, I know Sawgrass is a busy course by what framerates I was getting 49 fps. Slight tweak of fog shadows and I never went below 60 fps. Shadow settings in games have the biggest effect on frame rates. I suppose a sudden drop in framerate mid swing could effect your tempo. I have hardly had any very fast or slow tempo in the game and it always feels like it's a result from my timing.

On my old PC - I could get a very fast/slow sometimes - and I could see it because I had feedback back then, and the tempo line was all the way to the extreme. And that was indeed caused by lag. And the desciption Gav is giving on a very fast on 17th sounds just like lag/framerate issue to me. I get the odd fast/slow also these days (I can tell without feedback from the ballpath) - and that is my own doing.
