Pretty brutal out there on the greens for me. I made plenty that I shouldn't have, but got above holes often and 3 and 4 putted plenty of times to put me well back of the likely winning score. Started and finished strong. I wouldn't have wanted the course setup to be any different as it was a challenging/fun four rounds. The best putter will win this week.

Finished out slightly better. -2, +2, -1, -4. I think I bogeyed 18 every round or at least 3 rounds all 3 putts. As far as greens and wind I prefer certain conditions but I do like to be challenged. It’s the only way to get better. Plus, it seems like a good fair group here so that’s more important than the course and settings. Thanks for the all work setting it up. 1st round at the brutal Shinnecock Hills with fellow hammer Simon, have to say really impressed with his whole USE game especially no grid putting played some lovely golf at times and a great 1st round on USE. Awful start for me on the front 9 2 awful holes I just made a mess off, also missed 3 putts under 10 foot for birdie. Long game was good for all 18 holes and played the back 9 really well to claw a couple of shots back. Really like this course and I do enjoy the grind, you absolutely can't speed golf this course, it demands that respect. Nearly holed an extremely fast right to left birdie putt on 18 thanks to some help from a fellow hammer who just missed his putt from virtually the same spot.  |

meh. Really frustrated after rounds 3 and 4. Just seemed like a lot of pins on/near slopes. 9' downhill 2", barely tap it and have an 8' uphill 3" coming back. 6' downhill 2", miss and have a longer putt coming back up hill. Wash, rinse, repeat. Really makes the game feel arcade with the ridiculous rollouts.
+3 +2 to finish +4 and honestly, halfway through round 4 I'd had enough of 187 green speeds.

Round 2 terrible start on hole 1, went to check course conditions and managed to take an umplayable from the centre of the fairway, wound me up and I took a 7 on hole 1. Solid for the rest of the round . Back 9 after 2 rounds 3 under and no bogies. Need to sort the front 9 out. Highlight this treacherous downhill putt on 10  |

I finished up on Shinnecock Hills. Sorry for the horrendous score but truthfully I lost interest after the 2nd round. Like Art said playing courses with conditions like this sucks the fun out of it.  |
