This week, we travel to Olympia Fields for the BMW Championship. The 2020 BMW Championship will be held at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Illinois, near Chicago. Olympia Fields has a rich championship tradition of being a tremendous test for the world’s top players. Most recently, Olympia Fields has hosted the 2003 U.S. Open, won by Jim Furyk; the 2015 U.S. Amateur, won by Bryson DeChambeau; and the 2017 Women’s PGA Championship, won by Danielle Kang. The BMW Championship will be played on Olympia Fields’ famed North Course, designed in 1923 by professional golfer and course architect Willie Park Jr. The North Course - formerly the club's No. 4 Course - was designed in 1923 by Musselburgh native Willie Park Jr., two time (1887 and 1889) Open Champion and grandfather of inland golf design. Although Park's work includes more than 100 golf courses worldwide, including timeless masterpieces at Sunningdale and Maidstone, the North Course at Olympia Fields is often regarded as Park's greatest achievement - not just by contemporary critics, but by Park himself, who concluded, "I have examined thousands of places adaptable for the ideal golf course, both in Europe and America, but I have never seen a more natural setting for a championship course. I am satisfied now that your number IV course is the equal of any golf course I have ever seen and I know of none that is superior, either in beauty or natural terrain." The North Course remains steadfastly faithful to Park's original design, with precious few changes over the decades other than deepened bunkers and additional length. Par for the North Course is 70 strokes played over 7,353 yards with a rating of 76.6 and a slope of 150. The North Course is routed over naturally rolling terrain, and makes liberal use of Butterfield Creek, which winds its way through seven holes, including twice on numbers 12 and 14. The North Course had been ranked continually by Golf Digest as one of America's "Top 100 Greatest Courses,"

All four rounds complete at Olympia Fields. I'm not sure if I am supposed to post the scorecards here or in Team Match play or both. I finished the tournament at -2 overall. R1 R2 R3 R4

Round 1 Olympia fields ( another US course I really like) Bit of a shaky start but really played solid if not spectacular golf from hole 10 to pull back to 1 under from be 2 over after 8. Highlights This 25ft 5 inch downhiller that I correctly estimated as being dead straight and I rarely hit any long putt dead straight This approach that got a wee bit fortunate to be so close, thought I won the hole from Art before he chipped in.

First round - pretty good with a couple of mistakes - the biggest missing right on the 16th - water, that means rehit in this game because of stupid drop rules (God I hate it) - double. 19 feet downhill 1 feet with a big break was the highlight - posting in shot of the week.

Hahahahah, I knew someone could say it better than my one liner!
Anyway-
Round 2 was weird with the wind and green conditions. It was like playing golf in a swamp during a tornado!

Very well played so far Josia! 9 under his handicap after 2 rounds on a tricky course. Glad I'm not matched up with him this week. Something has got Josia fired up this week😉

Very well played so far Josia! 9 under his handicap after 2 rounds on a tricky course. Glad I'm not matched up with him this week. Something has got Josia fired up this week😉 Guess who is matched up with him in round 1 and 3? (Also, Tuffguts - 11 strokes on that second round.. oh, that is going to be tough!). I just had a little practice on the very slow and soft conditions - and it is not easy with the very high winds. I understand some of the critics that has come on very high winds on TGC tours - I do have a feeling of more random effect on that condition compared to high. Not that I complain - usualy
