"Muirfield Village Golf Club, the creation of Jack Nicklaus, is in Dublin, Ohio, outside Nicklaus' hometown of Columbus, Ohio. It is the site every year of the Memorial Tournament on the PGA Tour, which is Nicklaus' tournament. Yes, Muirfield Village is "Jack's Place." The golf course is situated on 220 acres, land that Nicklaus knew as a boy — his father took him hunting there. The name "Muirfield Village" is an homage to the Muirfield links in Scotland, where Nicklaus won his first British Open title in 1966. Muirfield Village's golf course is nothing like a links course, however; it is a classic American parkland golf course. Muirfield Village is considered Nicklaus' masterpiece as a golf course designer, and has consistently been ranked among the top 20 or so golf courses in America in the biennial Golf Digest course rankings."

Round 1 and other than my Tin Cup moment on 11 I had a decent round. polekatt/josia played well, most notably the chip in iggle on 7!

Enjoyed watching the stream and listening to the great blues music in the background 😁. Felt your pain on hole 11 😲 Day 2 and 3 are great scoring conditions so hopefully you can make up for it. Josia would of shot low if not for some short putts he missed.

yeah, I completely messed up shorts putts on the first two and last two.
I'm not sure which one it was, it MAY have been that eagle, but my shot of the day was flop in from off the green.
Reason that was it, was probably not apparent on any video. There is a tree directly behind me. From my view, the tree was blocking the view of my golfer, on ALL the camera angles. So I basically hit it completely blind!
EDIT: Thinking on it, I can't remember if actually holed that ball or not. But it was definitely the shot of the game for me, due to not seeing the golfer, and getting it either in the hole or close.
EDIT2: I couldn't stand it, I went and watched the video stream. It was in fact #7, if you look at it, you can see that tree right behind me. My cam was behind that. The angle that I took that worked so well was simply me moving the aim around, in an attempt to get my camera to see the golfer around the tree. And where it ended up was when I finally gave up. LOL No wait, I MEANT to do it that way!!! hahahah

Pretty angry with the game right now after having 3 putts horseshoe out at 0.0000001mph and 2 chips do the same thing ... 1000% they would've dropped in real life. That's me done for the day gonna go clean my real clubs for a round on Thursday

First round -1. A couple of short putt misses and a greedy mistake on the 11th (though not nearly as bad as Art).

Second round - very good front nine - not so good back nine. -4.

I just have to say. The 11th is a very good par 5. You need to be precise on the tee shot and favor the left side which again can flirt with water. Brilliant risk/reward. Then you have several options on the approach based on the tee shot. And a demanding green to top it off. It is just a brilliant hole.

Started with a -4. A couple of wet tee-offs (not picking the line) costly on the back 9. Was solid apart from that. Some really good lags on long putts. -7 in Rd2. Again solid with some closer approaches. Silly error at end of back 9 cost me a shot. -11 at halfway mark and will finish later in the week. Cheers

I had a bunch of putts in R2 barely miss. That created a lot of bogies that could've been pars. Went in the water too, something I've been avoiding lately. It seemed like I ended up with a lot of shots that were between my clubs, and I picked wrong this time. And the putts, I thought I had them, and then they would just barely miss, right at the hole.
Oh well, Arthur needed me to give him some room!

I completed my first two rounds at Muirfield Village. I had it to -7 in the second round until my putter went ice cold lol. I had a nice hole out for eagle which I will post in the shots thread.

thought I played quite well, except for finding some of the numerous water features dotted around the course and 3 putting a few greens after hitting my 1st putts too hard Hmm can't have played well LOL 1st round and 2nd round
