Has anyone seen anything on the club situation? I was hoping they would have details on how that would play out with one set.

From the videos, you will be able to spend virtual money in the game on equipment (they have license on at least Callaway, Taylormade - and most likely more brands) - that it seems have an effect on play. As for difficulties - it will most likely be proper difficulties - and HB has big words on the most difficult settings that they claim no one is able to break par on the first day.

Yes the different clubs have effect on your shots, I am hoping we can lock this off in societies if this is not realistic.

The new game will have a proper sand splash shot. Not much else to make out of the video as the gameplay sim wise as it's being played with aids on.

So here is the dilemma as I see it.
At one point, the guy says- "It's a solid pass for me. I can't justify $60 dollars for a rehash of a game I already own twice"
Now this is probably what a lot of people feel.
But yet, most societies seem hell bent on switching to the new game on day one, and therefore forcing the players to switch if they want to keep playing in their societies.
So its like a catch 22. players will feel forced to switch, because societies are switching. designers will obviously switch. So players will feel like they have to switch, not because the game is any better, but because they want to play a game that has new courses, and is (somewhat) supported.
Just wondering you guys views on that aspect of it.

What makes me laugh is the people that seem to think it is a rehash went out and bought the current game after TGC2 had only been out a year. The dev's have had 2 years on the new game and I see big improvement coming. Overswing which Anders has been saying should be in the new game for a long time. More customization including being able to lock off all of the HUD. More customization is what we have been crying out for here at USE. Most designers will jump over to the new game also. My request to Paddy to recreate The Grove will be released in the new game, a top course just up the road from me and Tiger won the maiden tournament there in 2008. Not sure why people will stick to TGC2019 as I am sure the new game will be a big improvement. I pre ordered ages ago to save a £5 in the Steam sale.

I think that if you decide to buy the next game in order to play USE - that is a solid reason to buy the game

Hahah, that is honestly exactly what I'm probably going to do. I want to play USE and the NFL Stableford league I play in. I just have not heard a lot of concrete stuff as to whats better, or whats just a rehash, etc, and I knew you guys are probably way more up on it than me. I'm buying the game so I can still play here. But as I've mentioned, I've been playing casually with a friend and my son, recently, since they finally got 2019 once the cost went way down. If I switch, I don't want to go play 2019, as the differences I would think would mess me up, trying to keep both styles separate. So I guess my problem right now is how to convince them to buy a full price game, so that I can still play casually with them. What are some selling points I can make to guys that are just playing casually to me? I can get my son in a headlock, lol, but the other friend is pretty savvy, has played all the TGCs to date, but is low on cash, and I need some points to wow him with to get him to buy it.

New game looks seriously good!
Legend mode looks tough, looking forward to grinding!
Course designer looks so much better, it’s going to take me a while to port my current courses because with the added options, I’ll want to re-do things I had to sacrifice due to limited options. That said, my new courses from scratch will take less time. Can use chads tool to create a 2019 course then import for planting on the new game. Looking forward to this now

The new game will allow me to do the grove much quicker and hopefully better too, unfortunately you’ll have to wait till I get my other courses re-released on the new game then it’s full steam ahead! I play so many summer sports IRL that I normally hibernate in winter with my designer plus we always get new LiDAR data in UK inNovember so winter is coming Paul 😉

Been watching a little bit after work. Looks good, and it will be proper difficult. But the punch shot is gone, so it seems we need to use the shot shaper for that. I also think it looks much more realistic, so I am not mad about that.
