Just checked a 300W PSU will be absolutely fine for your set up, the GTX 1650 only draws 75W max and the CPU just 65W. Unless you are gonna hook up 20 hard drives Yeah, I've been checking all the power outputs. I did see somewhere that the 3300x can be MAX 120w, which then starts getting me close to the limit. Let me know if you're serious about doing a build. I know you know your stuff, but I've done a LOT of research in the last week! Like been learning that going above 16gb ram is verging on pointless; especially with the Ryzen processor. The Ryzen is all about how many threads they have; that's their new technology. They don't even really bother with increasing the clock speed. (Although they do overclock higher than the lower models.) Going from 16gb to 32gb will provide a small boost, but the threads are what are doing all the work. It's much better value for money to spend that extra 70-80 quid on a superior GPU. Or just don't the spend the extra. Same with super fast ram. Almost pointless going above 3200mhz. And you have to have the knowledge of editing the timings on them manually to make the extra speed have an impact. I actually think 8gb of ram is good for most games. With CPU's the higher the resolution the less that your CPU is a bottleneck, the CPU comes much more into play when gaming in 1080p than 4k. It's the reason why so many gamers still have really old Intel CPU's still in their gaming rigs. Intel has always had faster single cores (though it's getting closer the last few years with Ryzen) and most games have traditionally favoured faster single cores. I did go from a piledriver AMD FX8350 8 core CPU to a i5 4670 4 core which was must faster than the AMD for games. I have mine overclocked from 3.4 to 4.3. I am looking at maybe getting an 3300x and spending more on the motherboard,(one with built in wi-fi) and a better new case. I have a feeling they well sell out really quickly. Yes the GPU is always the most important part in your rig regarding gaming.

Show off . Nice system Anders, do you play in 4K? Not sure. I have all settings turned to maximum detail etc. How do I check 4k? The PC can run anything that is available these days on high settings. Depends what resolution your monitor is.

Depends what resolution your monitor is. 2560x1440, 155hz, 0,4ms, 1000:1, ELMB Sync/G-Sync Compatible The game is running at 60Hz if I'm not mistaken - not sure if that is optimal?

Have you got it set to the maximum refresh rate in the Nvidia control panel under change resolution , make sure you have the monitor connected with a display port cable for G-Sync to work. Also you must change the game's resolution to 2560x1440 155hz.

The 3300x with an awesome GPU and 16gb 3200mhz ram would be a very reasonable rig. Not top end, but good. (Yeah they're gonna sell fast! I have 3 sites where I've done the in stock email alert!)

The reason you don't have a 155hz option in the Nvidia control panal is you have to overclock it manually in your monitor's options menu from 144hz to 155hz. You'll probably find that hdmi won't support doing this. I actually have mine overclocked from 60hz to 100hz. You also have to turn on gsync in the Nvidia control panal. Mine has a red light on in the bottom right corner of the screen when gsync is on. I am pretty sure you'll need to use a display port cable for gsync to work, I definitely do for my monitor, It doesn't work over hdmi. Gsync is the best feature on my monitor, I love it. Games just run so much smoother. A 155hz monitor with gsync on and a high refresh rate monitor like yours is perfect for this game.
