The data isn´t the best for this one, so smoothing is needed on the greens and bunkers. For the tour version on this, I am going to go with the pars, tees and pins from the 2019 Tour Championship. First very early picture from the 18th towards the soon to be build clubhouse:

A view of the plot. You may wonder why I have trees on the plot - since I advocate to not import trees from Chad´s tool. I have marked in OSM all important trees (quite some trees on this course) and imported the marked trees from OSM. This do not take a lot of plant meter. Trees from lidar data however is the one that takes a ton of plant meter. What I do, is to mark down the locations of the trees and change each and every one of these trees.

Started planting. What I have done so far is to clean up the land, planted pins according to Tour Championship 2019. There might be small inaccuracies due to the need to smooth out on some greens and bunkers, but I can´t see that any new data is coming for Atlanta soon. This is the course that has required most on this so it took me some time to do that. Also the bunker that has been moved on the 12th is fixed. I think I will add the baseball field close to the first hole as well. I have not yet added all the tees, because I will publish this course in two versions as well - a member version with hole 1 and 14 as par 5. I will also include championship tees on the member version. On the tour version, hole 1 and 14 will be par 4 as used in the Tour Championship, and the tees will be used accordingly.

Looking great Anders! Yes individual, stand alone trees are best using the OSM import and then swap, I do this also and then use “mapped woods” to show where the large areas of trees are, this is the best bit of the tool as saved measuring!

This is going slowly at the moment. I have got a cold so the shape isn´t the best - testing for covid-19 tomorrow I suppose - but the reason it is going slowly, is that there is a ton of trees that I want to get right (which requires to look at videos and pictures - plant, look some more from different angles etc.). So, a look at the 2nd: (You wouldn´t see it here, but I have yet to plant the fence all the way on the left side that is mostly covered from sight from vegetation - I tend to leave not important bits out to see how my plant meter goes).

It's better - no testing in the weekend, so I guess I will test tomorrow (depending on what my boss says) - though it is quite unlikely that I've got covid-19.

Measure tool is the course-recreators best friend: (as you might guess from the picture, I am working on the 6th for the moment)

After picking up this course again - things go fast. I am most likely going to finish this course this weekend some time. I will publish two versions of the course - a Tour Championship version and a member version. As of now, what I have left is some trees along the 16th, 17th and 18th (the area in the middle), and then I need to finish the clubhouse area.

It's going to be tomorrow.. Just finished planting the trees and surfacing for the course. All that remains is the clubhouse area. Nice to do this while watching Hovland playing some amazing golf
