Tiger Woods 08 was great, played 3 click loved it,was in a society like this. It also had a course designer and some great user generated courses. I had every PS3 Tiger game and they could not hold a candle to how good TW 08 was because of the user generated courses, not as good as what we have now but great for their time. They also had personalised flags which I loved. I played all the TW PS3 games with the move controller, enjoyed them but they were never Tiger08 PC for me. Actually, the course architect tool was for TW 06 - so in order to create courses for TW 08, you had to have TW 06 as well. Also, user created courses didn't work well with the awesome PGA tour mode. What I liked best about the game was the feel and atmosphere and the progression you got from the PGA tour mode. Starting With ca. 209 total distance with the driver on the "Hack" level and playing skins and mathes with your AI friends. Playing the game with such carry and roll out made the courses play very differently. Bunkers was a hazard you needed to think about, because of the low carry and long roll on your shots (you needed to use the fairway in order to get distance). Making it to the amateur tour on forward tees, moving up to EA Tour and PGA Tour. Good times. I remember strong wind was particularly brutal. I do actually have Tiger Woods 08 DVD in my draw still but can't get it to run on Windows 10.

You can actually still download the courses for TW08 from course downloads. Might boot this game up again for the nostalgia trip

Also the grasses look so much better even in 2008, puts TGCs shortcomings in perspective really

I have got it installed from my DVD copy but it says video card doesn't have enough memory so it won't run. I did try adding the files from voodoo to the bin folder. Still won't run.

It is a pain to get that game to work on Win 10 if I remember correctly - I could not do it. coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=10375&forum=11

I had grown bored with Links PC game when I discovered TW04. That was my JAM, TW for PC series thru TW08. My society there was Clambakers, run by a great English guy named Ray Hines. Boy those were the days!

I've seen a few TGCT guys playing the game. Gdog, Greg Fordyce and Kent Nobleman. Might hit one of them up.

Playing old games has always been an issue for a variety of connected reasons to this. Compatibly essentially. But sometimes people create files to fix these issues. Is that was "voodoo" is? Have a look around for something.
