Hi all!
Just released a Beta version of my new course, West Hill Golf Club.
You can find it by searching "WHGCbeta"
It's about 97% finished, just need to make sure the pin placements are all playable etc. and to make sure there's nothing out of place before publishing.
This particular course has really severe greens but this is just what it is like in real life, if you get the wrong side of the hole then your next shot will be a nightmare!
Hope you enjoy and I look forward to hearing any feedback about play-ability

www.golfworldtop100.com/features/best-golf-courses-surreyWest hill sounds great: "West Hill is ranked number 39 in the Golf World Top 100 Courses England West Hill’s designer, Cuthbert Butchart, was influenced by Scottish links golf courses when he created the layout for the course. A professional from Carnoustie, he also became West Hills first Pro even before the full course had opened. The layout remains pretty much unchanged today, with the severely contoured green at the par-3 15th easily making it the stand out hole here. The course screams character, with heather and pine trees a main feature." Loads of great sounding courses in Surrey; a lot of the country's top 100. New Zealand especially sounds lovely to me. The picture attached for one of the holes looks spectacular.

I tried P4 on USE style earlier with very high winds. Wasn’t pretty! Theyre the hardest pine for sure. Stay below the hole Sir Wade!
Either way, I hope you enjoy a peaceful stroll in the Surrey countryside!

Either way, I hope you enjoy a peaceful stroll in the Surrey countryside! The course actually played tougher than I expected. I played it twice and I saw no issues with the pins and yellow lines. With aides on (to see the green grids) I shot -3 R1 and -1 R2 on P4. Very nice course Paddy!

With aides on (to see the green grids) I shot -3 R1 and -1 R2 on P4. Very nice course Paddy! Thanks Wade! IRL it’s a tough track, architecturally it’s brilliant because it can’t be overpowered because of the layout, regardless if you hit 1 iron, 3 wood or driver every player has to play the course as it is designed and amazingly the bunkers are all still relevant. On 17 and sometimes 5 you can only hit 3 wood off the tee because of the heather but it’s what keeps those short par 5s playable and not too easy. I shot a -7 USE style on pin 1 but shot +2 on Pin 4 so it can vary a lot depending on flags. 4th, 6th and 15th are the greens that mess everybody up, they’re brutal. 18th hole is also a card wrecker, I remember playing a round with the head pro IRL and I was just killing it, was -4 stood in the middle of the 18th fairway and thought I’d done the hard part by getting the tee shot in play... wrong!!! Hooked my 9 iron onto the road and made 7! Cheers! Lol

Now that I have checked the pin set for yellow lines, I can play it USE style. If you don't get others to try pin sets 2 and 3 let me know and I will have a go at them. You and Anders are some top notch course designers.

I’m going to play pin 2 & 3 off the gold and red tees today so should have it covered, I do really enjoy playing it USE style for sure! Hopefully will get this fully published over the next couple of days and then I’m having a break from designing for a few weeks! Been a labour of love this one!

I will try to get a round here pretty soon. It may be that I want to get my USE and USE extra rounds in first though Perhaps anyone can guess where this is from:
