I was -7 after 18 then had a horrible second round and then followed that with a horrible stretch of ply by my standards for most of last week. Tried to play my way out of the slump and just couldn't do it, seemed like bad shots at the worst time, compounded by bad bounces and putts that just roll over the edge instead of dropping in. We all have round like that but I had a stretch of like 8-10 rounds in a row across different societies.
I've since bought a new controller, recalibrated, changed fittings and spent a few hours just hitting shots in the training areas. My swing lines don't really look better to me in the shot feedback with the new setup but somehow I am scoring much better again, and can hopefully mount a charge down the season's stretch.
However my wife's family is about to visit for the next month and my niece and nephew will most likely be staying in my usual gaming room, so I don't know how that will impact my ability to stay sharp or just to get my rounds in. We will see, I am anyway happy to have visitors and get along well with my wife's family so maybe this game will take a backseat in terms of life priorities
