Hi all,
Hammers1man and me played the second round on Sunningdale 'live' together (its live-ghosting really). The first round i played it with Skunky. The point was to find out how/if this would work in a society round. And it does work. 2K/HB has not really worked this out as it should be (like easy! ), but we figured it out anyway. Here is a step-by-step -kinda 'work around'- for those who want to check this out through Steamplay (and on PC):
1. both players start the round in the society (i advice to start up Steam-chat [or other audio option] before, so you can talk to each other while playing)
2. before teeing off both players exit to options and switch turn-order on and then go to 'social' at the bottom of the screen
3. when in social both players click on the plus sign to add 'live ghost' and then choose the other player; now both players are connected to play together
4. return to first tee (you see both players mentioned in the mini score card now, above left on your screen) and both players tee off still seperately
5. after hitting first shot both players quit the round; this because the game defaults to a default Ani in the game and will not show the other players Ani if you continue playing; to get to see the other players Ani both players have to quit the round and then resume it again normally
6. when both players have resumed, the game continues at the point both players will be ready to hit their second shot (still seperately)
7. before that, both players have to switch turn-order on again (players are already/still connected as the game settings have remembered this)
8. both players can now hit their second shots seperately and continue playing; they will start seeing the other player (and the correct Ani) almost immediately
9. at some point, within a couple of shots, the gameplay will align and both players will be playing in the correct turn-order
10. this is not live multi-player, rather live ghosting, but it's almost the same (the game records the shot of the other player and then shows the player hitting the shot); there is a delay of about 5 to 10 seconds between every shot; notice the other player's club always first defaults to a 4 iron and then resets to the correct club once the player has hit his shot.
Depending on speed of play of players individualy the delay can be less (and each player can also hit skip post shot animations). Have fun with it and try it out if you want. In principle you dont need to have chat connected but i find this adds to playability and fun. Have at it!
