Had a more normal 1st round (+13), and a great 2nd round (par) for me  Liked the course, keeping the double+ bogeys under control but a bit too many regular bogeys this time. Will need to work on fairways and greens in regulation, but having fairly good recoveries overall. |

I don't know if it's servers or not but my PC runs this game at 100 + fps but round 1 and 2 were hitching nightmares even on the top of the backswing. paddyjk19 has mentioned this before about servers but I also think updates completely screw calibration. I was trying to hit it slow and still getting huge hooks, certainly not my calibration. I actually putted really well otherwise my score would of been much higher. I had a similar problem last week the game hitching like never before in round 1 continue straight away to round 2, smooth as butter. Losing interest with the game right now and would rather spend more time on a game I enjoy playing. |

Playing the previous tourney after not playing for a week and a half, I struggled with slows like never before. Really weird. Same last night when on TST. I ended up re-calibrating after TST and playing 2 rounds in career mode. Still getting more slows than usual. Hardware hasn't changed. Some more experimenting needed I think. |

Absolutely spat the dummy early in Rd2. Prob after the effing 3rd green and lip outs that were just off centre. Plus the bloody slow society connections in this version.....pi55ed me right off.
Did the Jon Daly and lost all my balls and stormed off the course.

1st round i was 2 under after 2 and i thought here we go hit a good shot into the 3rd and 4 or 5 putted the green. I think i took 14 putts on the par 3s so in the end was massive over par, but like i said in the other post i think Merion is my favourite US course but maybe this version in 2k23 not helped by the changes to green speeds its why i need the grids when i play it...Awesome course.
Just one more thing i wish i understood it how you can hit 14 or 15 good tee shots etc and 2nd shots at times then all of a sudden your a mile of Tempo wise on certain shots you would have thought with tempo after playing past games for 8 years you would have a rough idea what your doing.

I had a very solid first round scoring -5. Had a rough start to the second round with a couple of bogies and a double in the opening five holes. Steadied the ship a little and then had an ace on the 9th. Battled to a +4 for that round and a -1 total.

Those 4 days whip around faster than you think. Much harder for everyone to keep up with the 2 rounds in 4 days compared to 4 rounds in 7 days. |

I was talking more so about how it's more work for you and others doing the write ups. Keep 'em coming at whatever speed you desire. Make them harder. I enjoy five putting!! |

Merion is always a pleasure to play* and I had try really good rounds of 62 & 63 to post what felt like a really good number. Play well folks. I keep forgetting to log in to these forums to check in/ post. Been a great season so far.
*Agreed with Yeltzman though, I think with the ball physics in 23 those greens were just about borderline. One of my favourite courses though.
