From the release of the game didn't really change much with mouse settings. Kept it the same as 2k21. Came across this on TGCTours. You look towards other mousers that play the game. And look at their settings. I think I've seen upmupkupennup on the TST leaderboards in 2k21 and now 2k23. In fact checking the TST leaderboards he shot -28. So in my opinion he's doing something very well.
I've got a Razer Deathadder Pro v2 as I mentioned before. Xbox and PS controller have always been mentioned which works better than the other. I've played with both in the past. The learning curve can be and was very frustrating. Personally glad I made the change in the final months of 2k21 (Thanks Mike ). The biggest thing is the swing line deviation with the mouse. As I'm sure it can be with a controller. Something that you really need to focus on especially those short putts. Along with being mindful with hazards and such around.
But when it comes to getting good tempo. The mouse is probably the most consistent in my opinion. I tried the Xbox Series X controller a few weeks ago and it felt way fast compared to the mouse. And sure if anyone tried the mouse from a controller would say the same thing. Hearing many players talk about the servers messing with tempo. Don't feel that way with that mouse. Just feels like I'm not making the right swing. Also noticed if you swing under a 100% the misses aren't as drastic. Go over a 100% to get more distance and miss. The curve is more pronounced.
Just sharing what he said about mouse settings if anyone plays with a mouse or was thinking about it. Definitely helped with my game. Once you mouse, can't go back
Increased in game sensivity to 90 and my dpi is 2500 atm (actually higher then I've ever had for any previous game - but 90% of my swings are slow still. You should still be able to get a decent amount of perfects. First, you have to find a calibration that gives you perfects. Not necessarily many, but there are calibrations where your best swing is a slight grey, and those are the ones you want to avoid. Then, once you have that, go shoot the ball and try to find out where most of your misses go (fast or slow). Then fine tune your calibration by tweaking your mouse settings.
I have a Logitech MX Master II with skates on a Steelseries Qck Hard mousepad. I play with 1000 dpi (on a scale from 400 to 1600, so not sure what your 2500 equate to), Windows cursor speed 14/20, and ingame sensitivity of 81.
Feel free to get in touch with me if you have further questions. I‘m happy to help!
Cheers!
Edit: Added Twitch stream with shot feedback on. Working on swing path and a practice round at Mauna Kea.

Having issues on the mouse swing too. Just can't find a perfect swing so far - no issues getting it in the grey, but can't get it in the white.Increased in game sensivity to 90 and my dpi is 2500 atm (actually higher then I've ever had for any previous game - but 90% of my swings are slow still.
