WELCOME TO AUSTIN COUNTRY CLUB

Founded in 1899, Austin Country Club is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas and home to one of the greatest golf instructors who ever lived, Harvey Penick. A private, family-orientated club rich in tradition, known for the quality of its membership and for service that exceeds expectations.

Austin Country Club is located along the banks of the Colorado River with Austin's iconic Pennybacker Bridge as its backdrop. The property spans over 180 acres of hill country vistas and canyon views in Davenport Ranch, 10 miles west of downtown Austin.

Far out brussel sprout!!! 3 chip ins in Rd1 to help get to -4. Nice Rd2 of -8, then Rd3 was coming good late on the front 9 before the calamity of the 9th hole. Just pulled it a bit on approach and hit the wall into the water. Of course the drop then ends up being about 60 yards left of the green in a small clearing surrounded by trees. So I promptly put 4 or 5 more in the water trying to wedge through the canopy and then speed golf for the rest of the tourney.....+4 and Even for last 2 rounds. -8 total......Grrrrrr!!

Played pretty well and a nice ace in round 1. Round 4 a different story a 79 with 7 birdies, a 10 on hole 2 and 9 on hole 9 didn't help. Fantastic course I love it. Special mention to Wade and Simon, superb scoring on a tough course.
