My effort on what was a very difficult course for these rules: +3, +1 for a total of +4.
I was -1 in the second round coming up the 18th and that pin position cost me a double bogey. You can't see that extreme undulation from your player and it doesn't show up in the overhead to that extent either. I ended up playing a short iron just past the pin and it ended up 40yds back and right from the pin. Played a pitch shot again just beyond the pin trying to use the backstop and it ended up at my feet. A bit silly really.

Played round 1 with Charles who played some really good golf at times, round 2 with Simon who played well but was unfortunate on 18. Been a while since I have played with members ghosts but really enjoy it.
My story, started round one like I have never putted on 187 greens before, hole 1 a 4 putt double and hole 2 a 3 putt bogey from 2 very good birdie chances, got to grips with the greens and played pretty well. Highlight a 168 yard hole out on a severe upslope round 1 hole 16, had to club up because of the upslope.
I think this course is excellent, wildly undulated greens but excellent pins so 187 is not unplayable, some really stand out holes, the par 3 5th with the huge green is superb and plays completely differently from different pins. Great pick this week Mark. Will never get tired of playing that course and was nice to break par in round 2.

Eddie who has been dominant in Series 1 wins by 4 strokes on Bandon Dunes over SirWade. Eddie is the only person to break 70 this week with an excellent 66 in round 2.
