Golf at The Grove
The Grove, home to one of the UK’s most prestigious golf courses, has welcomed many greats of the game, having staged a World Golf Championship event, won by Tiger Woods in 2006, as well as hosting the British Masters in 2016. Open to all who love the game, there is no membership policy however regular players can take advantage of our Clarendon Collection.

Sort of cruised along and got it to -13 after 2 rounds. The par 3 4th nailed me twice.
Rd3 was up and down at the start and was back to -12 after 6. Was having struggles getting the read on the greens....a few lucked putts but was relying on chips and good approaches to get me out of the poo. Suddenly clicked on back 9 with -7 and was -20 after 3 rounds.
Rd4 was like rd3 but birdies on 6,7,8, then could not miss on the back 9. Only putt missed was an eagle putt on 17. Smashed the pin on the long downhill par 3 for a tap in. A couple of 20+ footers went in. 1 or 2 chip ins as well. -10 for the back 9 and -14 in Rd4 for a -34 total. That finish was a bit surreal.
Course didn't really do much for me but enjoyed the end result. Cheers

Been really rough this last week with hayfever and haven't felt like playing golf. This course is less than 5 miles away from me, I have had birthday drinks in the clubhouse but the green fees at £179 is a bit too expensive for my budget. Like Wade and colly first 2 round were pretty good with 66's like Wade. Struggled a bit in rounds 3 and 4 but was trying to overtake Wade and colly, an eagle on 17 got me to 16 under but an annoying 3 putt on 18 for bogey left me tied with Wade and Mark on -15. Didn't manage to screenshot round 1    This is the last tournament of season 4, congrats to season 4 winner Tuffguts who has been absolutely brilliant all season. I am in the process of finalising leaderboards and setting up for our series 1 of Master Tour (4 Rounds) and Linksland (2 Rounds) which start tomorrow for Master Tour and yesterday for Linksland. We will be going into 10 week tournament series with a major now so points tables will be reset and points boards for MT and Linksland will be up tomorrow. |
