Got it to -12. Could not read the greens in Rd1 and finally lucked some putts in Rd2 and early in Rd3. Was pretty poor in the last 27 holes and a bit of speed golf. Had some wicked saves in Rd4 but a few stupids as well.
Tough times when the winds were up.....why were they same direction all 4 rounds??

Nearly always play poorly for our USE Open championship (my Favourite tournament in real golf) but pretty chuffed how I played as my whole game was solid. Missed some really good chances to add to my round and some good scrambling late on and only dropped shot on 18. Very challenging course and conditions so par is a good score, will walk to the press tent very happy with my opening round 68.

Probably felt the same beause the first tee shot always had a tail wind of sorts....."similar" may have been the correct word to use. |

Rd 4( +6)
I thought I had my rounds saved but apparently not.
I had a struggle with Rounds 1 and 2 as I wasn’t used to the course. Blowup holes killed the card.
Rounds 3 and 4 were smoother and just need to make the birdie putts because I’m getting opportunities just not making the putt.
But loved the course and and enjoying the USE rounds.
I expect to drastically improve next tourney.

Round 2 and very solid round of golf and managed to keep up with Tuffguts. Long putting (10ft and over) was good 50% holed of the 10 putts over 10ft in the round, helped to a pretty decent score albeit on slightly shorter tees this round.

The Open Rounds 3 & 4, very rarely am I in contention on USE Master. Poor finish on the last 3 holes but I feel like my game has come on the last couple of weeks and my putting was my strong point this week. Trying to hold back on those 3 woods resulted in one too many hooks this week but is something to practice as my partial full shots were good not long ago.
Fantastic course with a real Major tournament feel to it.

The Open Championship at Carnoustie result Topflight and Tuffguts shared the title, hammers1man's poor finish with 3 bogies in the last 3 holes drops him down to 3rd. Low round is a 63 in round 3 by topflight  |
