A beautiful 18-hole golf course by the lake Mjøsa

Atlungstad Golf is an 18-hole golf course, located southwest of the magnificent cultural landscape of Stange Vestbygd, right down to Mjøsa. Just a few minutes south of downtown Hamar.

The area is described by the newspaper VG as the Nordic region of Tuscany. The course is one of the country's finest, shaped in a fantastic way by renowned golf course architect Dave Thomas LTD. It is challenging both for the very best and for beginners. The facility also includes a clubhouse, pro shop, cafeteria and banqueting facilities.

The historic Atlungstad Brenneri is right next to the golf resort. A dock for the famous steamboat Skibladner has been built at the area, and during the summer of 2020, Skibladner will arrive every Sunday at. 11.55am and 5pm.

Always very enjoyable to play an Anders' RCR and this course has it's challenging holes. Played round 1 with Woody who has been round the sim scene since the RGT days on TGC1, nice to see him playing USE this week as it's been a while and his game was pretty sharp at times. My pitching saved me on a quite a few holes even from those awkward distances 40 to 50 yards and holed a peach for birdie on 8 from 45 yards. Terrible start on 1, I actually missed a 2 foot birdie putt, probably my worse ever putt on this game also a terrible 3 putt from 10 foot on 4 but apart from that pretty solid stuff with some good up and down and clutch par putts.

Played rounds 2 to 4 with bpatrick, who's game has come on nicely and played well in rounds 2 and 3. He just had one of those rounds where everything went wrong on the front 9 of round 4. Struggled a bit in round 4 myself but managed to hole a lot of par putts from 10 to 15 foot. This course has some slippery greens but also plays tough with a cross wind in the softer condition of round 3. Some very impressive scoring this week I have to say.

Low round is a 61 in round 3 by the champion.
