Mauna Kea Golf
Desolate black lava fields on the Island of Hawaii’s sunny Kohala Coast were transformed by course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. when he was commissioned by Laurance S. Rockefeller to design the Island’s first golf course in 1964. Proving difficult even for professionals, modern improvements to Mauna Kea Golf Course by RTJ’s son, Rees Jones, kept the original character intact while opening up memorable, yet still challenging play, including 99 bunkers, for all player levels.

Started the tournament with a Birdie on #1 and finished R1 with a Birdie. Sitting at -9 at the halfway mark.

Aren't we supposed to play Week 10 before Week 11? Hi Simon, Paul accidentally set up the week 11 course. So we will play week 11 this week. Then play week 10 Seminole next week. Hopefully we will be back on schedule after that. So post your scorecard/leaderboard so we can tally up the scores. Thanks! |

The course has such an interesting mix of holes, long par 3's and shortish par 4's, gettable par 5's. A real risk and reward course. |

Very good job you have done with the course. It's always been a favourite of mine in computer golf going back to the Links days. The course has such an interesting mix of holes, long par 3's and shortish par 4's, gettable par 5's. A real risk and reward course. Yes this is such a great course, poor second round and Simon had nearly lapped me by then. Just couldn't keep up with his pace. Good 4th round though and putted really well.  |
