We stay in Long Island, New York and move to Friar's Head at Riverhead to play the Friars Classic.
Friar's Head was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and opened in 2003. This is a private club, and you must have a caddie - use of golf carts are severly restricted, and you need to have proper golf attire. So gentlemen - be sure to visit the golf shop and get yourself properly attired for this event.

What a great recreation of this course. I thought it was fantastic and very difficult.

Steady start in Rd1 but turned it on mid way through front 9. Had a couple of eagles and an ace on 18 and finished -10.
Rd2 was a ripper front 9 and steady back 9. Sunk a 50 footer on the short par 4 on front 9....5th I think. Another -10.
Steady start and nailed the mid part of the round starting with a 5 footer for eagle on the 5th. A couple more long putts and the odd chip in....-12.
Rd4 was -2 and my tempo deserted me after being solid as in first 3 rounds. Also plenty of problems if you don't get your first putt close. Even on 144 greens, they had some curl in them. Found myself the wrong side of big slopes a few times as well. Course really showed what could happen if you're not on your game. Great set up, reachable par 5's, some course management needed off the tee, hate to play this baby in firm/fast conditions. I found the holes quite generous....a few of my chips and my ace all jarred the hole pretty hard but found the bottom of the cup. A nice change to short putts bouncing off the flag!!!
-34 total...had fun. Cheers

Round 4:Birdied 3 of the par 5’s & bogie’d 3 of the par 3’s to level things up.Very enjoyable week on a great course 👍

I love the course….I’ve been very busy with work the past few weeks so I’ll do my best to get the 4 rounds in with the Master settings Tourney….I always shoot to play all 3 USE tourneys but have one more rough week at work before I get a little slowdown period for a few weeks….
Round 1 was going fine until the Back 9 blues set in with the putter….

Round 2 was slightly better. Just too many putts.
I think my putting has gotten worse as I just got my PS5 and the controller has a completely different feel.
I can adjust but geez, this is a different feel. This is my 3rd game with the PS5 and I want my old PS4 controller back, lol….
