We travel to Winston-Salem in North Carolina to play the Old Town Invitational at Old Town Golf Club.
In 1938, Charlie and Mary Reynolds Babcock set out to create a private golf course near their homestead known as "Reynolda". Mary was daughter to R.J. Reynolds, founder of Reynolds Tobacco Company, and was one of the richest women in the world. They hired Perry Maxwell to design the course, as one of Babcocks business associates Clifford Roberts (Co-founder of Augusta National) had commissioned Maxwell to remodel MacKenzie's greens for the Masters Tournament.

Well, tied PC leaderboard after round 1. I missed so many 6-10 feet putts that I was frustrated after hitting so many good approaches.

My scores for this week: -2, -7, -4, -1 for a -14 total. Not that impressed with this course, some very questionable pin positions in my opinion, especially the last round.

I can't putt on this course either. But I find it hard and fair. I don't think I had any putt from 6 feet or longer that was given, and missed tons.
