This season, we play the AT&T Pro-Am on Spyglass Hill.
Spyglass Hill is part of the Pebble Beach Company. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr and opened in 1966 and has been in the rotation for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Struggled in the 1st two rds. Played better the last two rds where I managed to shoot -3 -1 respectively.

Did not manage to take advantage of the par 5's except the first in the first round, but a very good birdie on the 15th should take a stroke on a field. Trailing 1 behind SimChars1968 after the round.

Better on the par 5's on the second round, but got some bogeys as well. Tied with SimChars1968 after 2 rounds

Third round was hard - lots of cross wind, and I encountered some water on the 7th. Pleased with the performance.

Did not play well in round 4 - putter was stone cold, even missed some short ones.

The wheels came completely off in Round 2…
I struggle on the front 9 but the back 9 was a train wreck!
Almost every hole was bad and on 14 I went out of bounds not once but twice on my drives. I found myself behind trees, in bushes, you name it and I was there, lol
It was survival mode during the entire round.
I expect Round 3 to be much better.
Here is the terrible Round 2 card

Now the first 3 round I played badly, really badly, finished off the last 4 holes of round 3 today. Started round 4 and man I don't think I have ever putted so well in this game as I have in the first 15 holes. Holed literally every putt over 10 foot for birdie. I wasn't hitting the ball close and probably 2 of my birdies were under 10 foot. Then went into stupid mode just got too cocky and was looking at line but not pace and was rushing putts way past, but a 45.45% long putt avg is great with no grids, holes 1 to 15 would probably be about 60%. 10 under after 15, could of been a great round but it is a learning experience.

Hey so what if you have a bad round as that is golf, you pick yourself up and try to hit better next round. I have a lot of time for that attitude. This is a new experience for you, I have been playing sim golf for 7 years throughout the TGC games so I should be a lot better than I am. I will always have time to read how you're getting on and happy to give some tips with putting and partial pitch shots. This is a society about having fun first and playing a true sim mode not some elite sim tour, no grid putting is tough at first but I am confident your whole game will improve round by round.

This is a society about having fun first and playing a true sim mode not some elite sim tour, no grid putting is tough at first but I am confident your whole game will improve round by round. I’ve played True Sim on the TGC Tour but this is a whole new game…..and I love it! I was a little surprised by the bad 2nd round as I played it right after Round 1 which I did ok, for me, lol….For some reason I could not get my drive on the fairway. My approaches were still ok but I couldn’t get a putt. I’m starting to get a feel of the putting with no vibration. I can see the break but can’t get it down completely as I’m usually a little low on my right to lefts..I’ve been having a lot of edge burners in all of my rounds and it started a few days ago in my TGC Tour rounds..But that is golf and next time around those edge burners are lipping in….. When I play my TGC rounds I’ll have a bad round at some point and I just try to move on to the next hole or next round. I’ve had many bad 1st Rounds and had to work hard to make the cut and just take it at one shot at a time. With USE I think the biggest adjustments are the partial pitches..I’m pretty good with my wedges but when I’m in the 25-30 range snd it calls for a pitch I will overpower it….I just need more practice…..my problem is in my TGC rounds I cave in and go to that darn splash shot to save a hole and in USE that is not the case, lol. I hope in the next game they only allow it in the sand so it forces you get better with the partials. But that is another day. As for as the Master compared to Pro settings? I play in a masters society with most of the top Plat players….i find playing it keeps me focused and ready for my CC rounds….. I can find my tempo in masters pretty well so never really concerned with that….it all goes back to partials and putting, lol…. Plus I’ll play in any settings a society that I’m in has as I enjoy the game. On to the next round! And good luck to all with your rounds as well!

Well, I had a bounce back round. I’m still over par but after Round 2 yesterday I will take a much better Round 3.

Round 4 is in the books
I had a nice eagle to start my round and thought I was on my way until I pulled the putter out of the bag….the back 9 was more stable but missed 3 birdie putts…..
Overall, besides the 2nd round I navigated around the course pretty good. My Tee to green was fine I just need to work on the putting with reading the greens better..
On to the Forest of Arden…
