The start of the USE Pro Tour is set in beautiful northern California and Silverado Resort and Spa to play the Safeway Open.
Silverado Resort opened the first golf course in 1955, and the course was re-designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr in 1966 and was then named the North course and a South course was also added. It is the North course that is played on the PGA Tour, and which we will play in this event.

R1 at the beautiful Silverado Resort. Great choice to start off the season. Course played tough for me. I needed a chip in for Eagle on the par 5 18th to get to -3 for the round.

No way was I going to catch colly . I couldn't make 4 ft sliders for birdies lol. I finished off the tournament. -13 was the best I could do. |

Very good front nine, then I struggled, and made a complete mess of hole 15 - water, bad pitch in the sand.. Good to see I would be up there with the rest if it wasn't for that hole.  |

More proof that on hard courses, pro mode holds up - it also means we have loads of people in contention again which is great |
