Sedgefield Country Club
Since its 1925 inception, Sedgefield Country Club has gratified and continued to foster Greensboro’s passion for golf. This purpose has evolved to encompass active lifestyles from the tennis court to spin class, and our commitment to the longevity of the sport allows the club to flourish.
Our golf courses feature a compelling layout from fabled architect Donald Ross. The course is an exquisite design with small, undulating greens and rolling fairways that create a challenge for the expert player, yet offer fun for the beginner. Ranked 13th in North Carolina and hosting the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship, our members take great pride in calling it home. While enjoying the course, you’ll notice the pure golf experience in the condition of the greens, the welcoming and encouraging atmosphere and the attention to detail our staff provides from the front door to the finishing hole. Better course conditions, variety and pace of play in the Triad are hard to come by.
Beyond golf, our family-focused property includes active junior programs coupled with state-of-the-art fitness and aquatic facilities for the whole family to enjoy. The Sedgefield clubhouse hosts themed dinners, banquets, corporate events and elegant weddings in old world yet tastefully modern dining areas. Our inventive Executive Chef never ceases to amaze whether breathing new life into age-old favorites or presenting worldly new flavors.

Started off +1, -1. Remembered this sucker from TST a few weeks back.....slidey greens. Quite a few 3 putts so far.

Way too much pressure on my flat stick. Every putt my heart was in my throat lol. 4th round was tough and shot +3. Ended at -3 for the tournament.

Drove the ball really well in Rd's 3 and 4. Approaches were mainly in between clubs in Rd3 and my putting deserted me. Too many curly putts and couldn't get the ball close enough to be confident to smash it into the back of the cup. +3 in Rd3. Had a run at it in Rd4 with some close approaches and shot a -4 for a -1 total but still curled so many putts behind or in front of the cup. Really tricky stuff. Anyway, good luck all.

Round one with spikel who was on fire on the front but unfortunately lost it on the back 9. Tough greens this week, easy to hit a decent shot and leave a very tough putt.

There in a nutshell is why I don't enjoy master level as it now plays. First 3 rounds I played some good stuff. Round 4 felt as though it was a different game, couldn't hit many perfects, and absolutely no difference in feeling for fasts or slows. Something is seriously not right with this level. Since they made the changes to master, I actually find legend level more consistent and playable.

I think legend is way too penal for swing plane and is it not even tougher with smaller tempo boxes?.

Whenever I have played legend, I can adjust my tempo as needed. I just find master level a total mish-mash. However I will play all the USE tours because I have missed the challenge to be honest. I have played certain Pro tours and with all aids they are quite boring to honest. I now run my own society with all aids off except the green grid, and the members are enjoying the challenge. The next step will be to convince them to play with that off also!

Not sure where you're coming from I find legend too brutal (especially swing plane), master is tough if you lose your rhythm and pro way too forgiving. A difficulty between pro and master would of been a sweet spot.

Round 2 and 6 holes of round 3 on Friday way too many beers, luckily decided to call it a day. Tee'd up today and played the next 12 holes of round 3 1 under. Round 4 actually played well and burned a lot of holes with birdie putts but nothing dropped, a few bad holes contributed to a bad score for round 4. Slippery green like Tuffguts mentioned, every putt seemed to be on a huge sidehill.
