I never liked the disconnect we had from our PS members so I decided to tee up with @sirwade and colly this week. Walked onto the course with new clubs and you might laugh that blade putter completely messed up my putting stroke lol. Really enjoyed playing on a huge TV and was fantastic to witness two epic rounds from colly, not hyper competitive myself but just enjoy the game and will get some practice on PS so can hit some good scores on Linksland and just really enjoyed playing with 2 loyal USE members    |

Not a question of loyalty Paul, Master level is ridiculous with a mouse on PC now, just got fed up with the frustration. Also the gap in difficulty between the platforms makes inter-platform play rather pointless to be honest.

Not a question of loyalty Paul, Master level is ridiculous with a mouse on PC now, just got fed up with the frustration. Also the gap in difficulty between the platforms makes inter-platform play rather pointless to be honest. I don't know how hard mouse is Simon but I have followed Tuffguts progress. He had a little drop in scores when he changed to a better PC but he is proof that mouse is competitive. Maybe Tuffguts can give some mouse tips for other members. This for me is about everyone helping other members to score well.We are a sim society but not an ultra competitive one. On the cross platform debate. I actually do not really see the difference between PS and PC with a DS4 controller. This whole opinion that PS is easy and every other platform is harder is wrong. The difference between a Xbox controller and a PlayStation controller on PC is way bigger than the difference between PS4/5 and PC with the same controller. I still think I can score better on PC than PS4 with the DS4. |

Also I would like to point out if any member doesn't like master difficulty we now have a Pro difficulty schedule that andersnm is setting up, so we are guaranteed fantastic courses. Tbh I agree some of the US courses are brutally long and unforgiving but that is the PGA Tour. I have had more enjoyment playing our own members courses this season, I love playing the lesser known courses, some of the Euro courses we have played have been superb. Sign up and support the pro tour guys. We have a lot of interest on this site if the brutal difficulty of masters puts you off we now have a pro difficulty Ultra Sim Tour. |

I still think I can score better on PC than PS4 with the DS4. Chaps. T'was the new mouse that helped with the tempo. Previous mouse was a stock standard Logitech wireless mouse. Changed to a wired Razer Deathadder v2 and apart from being a bit longer and a fair bit lighter (swing plane can be a bit erratic), tempo has improved out of sight. My wireless mouse was all over the place even though I felt my swing was consistent. Nothing earth shattering in the set up, just try and calibrate using a smooth even paced tempo. A speed you'd want to use on the course. It's a bit weird but I find if I get the timing of the start of the downswing spot on, my tempo almost always ends up pretty close to the centre. If I start my downswing too late, I tend to push the mouse up too fast and get red fasts. It's all about the feel. Don't ask about partial shots or bunker shot....they are still works in progress for me. |
