Week 42 takes us to Historic Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. There is plenty of history and things to do in the Historic Triangle of Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. A lot of fantasic golf courses in a 40 mile radius. There is also Kings Mill where the LPGA plays a yearly event there. A few miles from Kings Mill and Golden Horseshoe is one of the largest amusement parks in the world, Bush Gardens. Bush Gardens was originally built and owned by the Anheuser Bush family. There is an Anheuser Brewerey right next door 🍺😜 So lets move on to the Golden Horseshoe G.C. www.colonialwilliamsburghotels.com/golf/gold-course/THE GOLD COURSE AT GOLDEN HORSESHOE GOLF CLUB
Experience the Jones family’s finest design Recently renovated by “the Open Doctor” Rees Jones, the Gold Course carries the design philosophy of creator Robert Trent Jones Sr. forward for today’s golfer. The Gold Course now features the latest in modern turf grasses, new grass on the fairways, greens, and surrounding roughs, and utilizes “Better Billy Bunker” construction to improve the drainage, look, and playability of bunkers. Tees have been re-leveled, resurfaced, and reimagined, and the expansion of the practice putting green and range gives golfers plenty of opportunity to work on their long and short games. Each of the Gold Course’s four par 3’s presents a visually exciting challenge, and is uniquely memorable in its own right. Even if you’ve played Gold before, you’ll find a few new surprises with the evolution of this timeless classic.

I never could get in any kind of groove this tournament. I think it's really great now. After the HB/2K swing changes and switching to purple clubs, I never know how my play will be. Just like the PGA lol.

Just knocked out my 4 rounds. -7, -9, -4, and -10. Made a bit easier by the short par 5's and the consistently benign conditions. Greens were quite "slidey"....not many straight putts to be had but the slower pace made them less treacherous. Maybe a round or 2 with faster greens would have been interesting. Just picked up the new PC to replace my 8+ yo clunker so will get that set up and hoping to play some 2k21 in ultra detail later in the week. Hopefully my new found tempo isn't disrupted too much. Cheers

Cheers 3 hours of pulling the old one out, cleaning up fluff and bits, unpacking and setting the new baby up and going through the windows set up. Anyway, 2K21 looks brilliant in the High and Ultra graphics settings and plays smoothly. Suddenly my tempo is all red very slow's. Mouse settings are same as previous. Will just need to tinker with the calibration some more.
