What a absolutely incredible golf course. You can tell the designer put a lot of time into this. This is not a grip it and rip it course so tread carefully lol.

Tough track when you are struggling with your tempo as I was in round 1.Somehow managed to scramble well & get it round in level par.

Getting really hacked off with this game now. Played first round and shot -1. Opened the second round with two birdies, get to the 4th and a slight fast and the ball lands in the rough and rolls onto the rocks and just drops into the water. The drop is in totally the wrong position and I can't drop it in the initial position. Move the curser back until it will allow me to drop and it leaves me a longer shot than hole in the first place, but worse than that I am in the middle of the trees. An absolute joke. I give up!

I was -5 deep into the 2nd round and playing great. Then immediately bogied three holes in a row to drop to -2. Then steadied the ship and on for a (possible) win, but bogied the final hole (of course) to end the same as colly and wade.
It's hard not to feel conspiracy theories about the new swing and servers.
It's probably just more sensitive and harder to tell whether you're really on it with your tempo but, on minimal evidence so far, those times when the next hole takes ages to load, I play worse and when it's running smooth (like today) I get less off tempo.
Probably my imagination.
I'm struggling pretty bad with the swing. Just like before, I'm mostly perfects, but the fasts and slows really hold me back, and I've been REALLY struggling with the putting since I returned.

I am really finding it difficult to find enjoyment at the moment, especially in this format, which is difficult enough at the best of times.

Extended my holiday so unfortunately no USEF this week, will be back at the weekend so look forward to seeing you all out on the links with the next event
