Yepp. I finaly found a project where I didn't get the 3d grass problem. So I am now back in the designer and having a blast. I landed in Switzerland - and Geneve. What we see in the picture is a nice trio of greens - the front green is the 16th par 4, then there is the 17th par 3 on the right side. And the green in the back is 8th par 5. You can also see the 4th green in the back right. Oh, and for paddyjk19 who likes watersplash - there is a waterfall I think I managed okay. The course is designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1972.  From the other side:  |

Hole 1 with a view from the clubhouse. It is drivable, but as you can see from the back tees there are trees that you need to fade the ball round if you want to go for the green. Practice area to the left and you can partly see the dogleg left hole 2 in the background. Not much pines on this course at all.  |

This is weird. In the designer, I had no problem with 3d grass rendering, but opening the course in game, and the 3d grass is missing.
Anyone else has this problem?
I have tried different fictional courses lately, and get this problem there as well. So it may be a problem local for me?

i think its a glitch,i had the same problem.go into designer ,go to course settings,rough settings and make sure that rough width is set to large and heavy rough width is set to large. then save and exit.this is what fixed it for me.i saw this on a designer website.hope this works for you>

As said, I have this also on fictional courses - and I don't read anything on it on those courses, so my guess is that this is something on my end on some courses. |

Problem solved.
After quite some thinking, I asked myself: "what did I do on these courses I've had this problem that I did not do on the others?" And the answer is autogen trees. I did not put in any autogen trees on this course, nor Atlungstad Golf. So I put in autogen trees, and removed them with the brush. And voila - 3d grass.
Publishing this course and Atlungstad with (L) behind the name.
