I saw I needed to beat -8 for the tournament, but with @pakalolo77 still having to play I wanted to have a score as low as possible. So I knew I would have to play my top game. I crushed the front 9 in -7. Then I really thought I was superman, but I was brought back to earth on the 10th and the 11th with a double bogey and bogey. The rest of the round I just made pars and finished with a birdie chip-in at the last hole. Very satisfied with -5 for the round and -11 for the tournament. I just hope @pakalolo77 will not spill the fun for me;-)  |

Bounced back from an opening bogey. Had a birdie putt on the par 3 4th. First putt looked right on line. A few more later and ended up with a double. Holes 10 thru 16 struck the ball really well. Had an eagle chip in on the par 5 12th. 17th hole, was on the wrong side of a slope from 7 yards out. Couldn't convert the par save. Been working on a PW pitch and run. Decided to give my eagle chance from 28 yds to try and one up Mike. It skimmed the left edge but a touch long. Had to settle for par. Best FIR in awhile this week at 71%. So some encouraging signs from the Sonic Boom Titleist driver which is back in the bag. Fun track this week at Castle Stuart! Had to stop and admire the view a few times. Fantastic rounds this week roggro 👍  |

Been super busy at work so pretty much missed the main event last week, that said, I thought Bermuda was superb so congrats on your course @sirwade, I hope to play it fully soon as it was divine! We've been very lucky as this Castle Stuart was again a very good course, the designer really spent time on the external environment including the seagulls! Took me a little while to adapt to the new swing (which I think is good, although I now use the slow as my go to tee shot) but I ended up playing well in Rd 1 to shoot -9 and round 2 was going solid before a few bogeys to finish at -13 overall. Great to see roggro get to grips with USE and have that breakthrough event that we all suddenly have after grinding away at the start. Congrats and here's to many more good scores  |

Thanks paddyjk19 and what a great score. How could I have forgotten about you;-). Congrats! I am happy with my play. It is good to know that when I play at my best I am able to compete. I am still very inconsistent though. I still have too many bad rounds, but hopefully in time that will also improve. |

Round 1 at the wonderful Castle Stuart. Very pleasant round with Will and Roger who played some great stuff and his game was looking sharp, his score should of been better as he miss a few good birdie chances also but a great round of 66. My putting is getting so much better again, was trying to race them in recently and giving them too much borrow, back to a dead weight style on my favourite green speed 160's and was very close on a few but never leaving more than 2 to 3 foot pars. I had a strong finish like Roger to post a 4 under 68 with 4 late birdies. Roger lit up the 17th green with this peach of a putt that dropped into the back of the hole I followed his putt from a similar distance to get the crowd on their feet again  My approach play was very good, am really warming to the TM distance 4 to 9 iron  |

Round 2 not so great, I played some awful pitches for 2 bogies and a double on the front 9 but 2 lovely pitches on the back 9. Looks like the pitch shot needs some practice on the chipping green . I think the key is not to have too fast a transaction from backswing to downswing on partials also. The good news is that I am starting to pull off 90% partial full shots with good tempo which is great for long irons and woods when in between clubs. 89% FIR and 77% FIR, pretty solid long game stats for the tournament. Great scoring by Roger again, well played sir.  |
