gavlaar124 , it was once of those days where I didn't notice approach distances were in-between clubs. Yeah I had a few but last week was a shocker for that.....a bit of luck I suppose. I was hitting full shots with confidence and had good tempo. Don't know my FIR but good course management off the tee was critical because of the blind tee shots at times. A few holes require clubbing down and longer iron in. My up and downs were very good if I recall. Hit some good bunker shots and plenty of close chips. Cheers #Straya I saw you are FIFO. Which side of the country are you on. I’m just south of Perth - good old Rockingham. It......rocks? Gozzy boy ray. Grew up in Gosnells/Thornlie area, a few years in South Hedland as a kid, bought a house in Gozzy about 25 years ago and still here (the nicer part of Gosnells!!). I do 1 week away every 3 weeks so every 3rd week I rush to get in my tourneys on Sunday/Monday before my Tuesday AM departure. No time to do TST this week. Was a member at Gosnells GC for a few years back in the late 90's (before kids). Played Rockingham a couple of times...love the roo's but not the snakes. Cheers |

I wrapped up the Irish Invitational. I'm glad I brought a few rain suits. Really felt like I was in Ireland. Blustery winds and rain in my face on every shot. I had a nice HIO in the second round to get me going. It has to be the new laser guided magnetic balls I've been using. Funny thing is they don't work all the time. I am just happy to finish under par for the week.  |

After playing a practice round last night, was thinking it could be a tough ol' week. Anyway, played KF (-39) and the promotional event (-47) this afternoon/evening with some really good tempo so thought I'd get USE done tonight as well (back to FIFO on Tuesday). Went -6, -6, -4, then lost my tempo in Rd4 for a -1. 18 was kind to me with eagles in Rd's 2 and 4....a couple of 20+ foot putts. Happy with -17. Premium on hitting fairways. Chipping went well....had plenty of off-green 7-15yd shots. Pin on 14 in Rd4 is a bugger.....there'll be plenty of 50-60ft 2ft uphill putts for y'all. Good luck all. Wow! Just checking in-
Royal County Downs greens have not been good to me this week. Slightly frustrating because I seem to be navigating the high winds with ease. But I get on the green in regulation, then on several of them, I manage to somehow putt enough times to make a regulation green shot into a triple bogey. sigh. Number six has gotten me TWICE now, like that. totally destroys your score.
What is even more odd, is that you guys know I just play the TGCT Tours courses now for a warm up round. So don't really care which one, I just pick the one that looks the most interesting. This week I picked the Pro course. Since I'm in CC-G, you'd think that should be harder, right? In my warmups though, on whatever the TGCT Pro course is, I'm sitting at two under, Playing USE Rules on it!!! But when it counts I can't putt. haha. oh well. enjoying Ireland though!

Josia, the same thing happened to me on a couple of holes. I was on the green in regulation and ended up getting a double and triple bogey. Hit is just a little too hard and it's off the green. |

Are we still using the live leaderboard? I can't seem to find it. It's actually not a live leaderboard as I have to manually enter the scores. Been a bit busy the last couple of days but The Belfry leaderboards and updated ranking table will be up later today. |

Second round: Three putt on hole 2 with a missed 5 footer - first short putt miss in a while, and hopefully long time to the next one. Two flop-ins on the round, and finished with a 26 foot birdie on the 18th. I missed badly left on hole 10, and tried to chip it so it landed in the rough and rolled on to the green, but not long enough, so I got two chips in the heavy rough to the downslope - that meant double bogey. Ended the round -2, -3 total after two rounds.

Shot -15 but gotta call a penalty for accidentally using the loftbox on the first hole. Played right after I played normal mode TGC lol. So, -13...I think?

Wowee that second round wind was up. Had some issues on the first couple of holes with streaming but it should all be in my past streams on Mixer.
Finished even par for the round, but it was as satisfying as shooting a 59 with how tough it was. -2 thru 36. Had a couple of nice punched approaches from the fairway - one will be posted in the ‘shot of the week’ thread 👍.
Anyone else noticed how much ‘onward’ has caught on in the main forum??? He may not be Larry (sigh), but at least we have some Art in our lives... Hope everything is going well on the work assignment Mr.Vandelay 🙏🏼
