Hello all,
just joined USE today and see lots of familiar names on the board. Brought along two friends (Roger & Skunky) who also joined. We like this Society set up! I play with mouse on PC. Anyway, looks like i found a 'home' again with USE LOL.
See you on the course!

Welcome! A tip the very good player @pakalolo77 always gives is to play pitch and putt courses to train those tough half swing pitches. My favourites are TPC Oakwind (short game) and Turnberry (Wee LInks). Very nice to a fellow mouse swinger. I have no idea how the game pad people do. Do they hold the game pad in the middle and swing it up and down? Or side to side? It must look ridiculous.

Indeed, playing 3/4 and 1/2 swings is very difficult playing mouse. I can do it, but its always tricky. Most of the time i can work around it with a different shot (especially long chip'n-runs which i'm pretty good at). I absolutely LOVE this game and think its the best ever and can only get even better. Sure, there are little gripes here and there but all in all its stellar. And on the highest level without aids its just unbelievable. I also dabble on Legend level with my friend Skunky (Quade) and we play friendly's together. Anyway, its a ball!

See you on the course.

Though we play with marker there is still the option to slow down the backswing for partial shots. The game has something call intent where it automatically moves the marker back and forward when off the green and requiring a partial shot, slowing or speeding up the backswing to help you achieve a desired partial shot. You may notice sometimes you have a ridiculously slow backswing when faced with a tough lie in the bunker. Try the practice chipping green with the percentage setting instead of marker or no marker. If it's set to 100% (which is way too fast imo) pull it back to 80% and try pitch shots from 10 yards to 50 yards. Now switch to no marker and using the same keyboard key to move marker pull back again to slow the backswing if you find it too fast. I use the partial pitch now more than chip from 10 to 20 yards, takes a bit more practice as the chipping is too easy in my opinion up to 13 yard as there is no real punishment for off tempo or poor lies.
