I know we are a long time away from the tournament, but I do not think we will see any better versions of the Ocean course at Kiawah Island. The non-lidar version is very inaccurate, so I do not have that as an option here. The lidar version that is listed, is in my opinion poorly done. I thought about doing this course, but have decided not to do so; the course stretches long along the coast, and this is problematic in the designer that is not suited for this (I think you have the same problem on Whistling Straits). I think we should play a better course instead and want to suggest Shinnecock Hills - also made with lidar data - much better planted etc.
So, I want everyone to decide what to do on this tournament. The PGA Championship this year in real life is hosted at Kiawah Island - but I do not feel that is important for me as we don't follow the real life schedule stricktly.
