Round 1 complete. I had a decent round going until the unlucky for me 13th hole. I hit an errant drive into the jungle on an already tough hole. A couple of trees later I was putting for a triple bogey. I have left the door ajar for hammers1man and andersnm!

If my round 2 was a movie it would be called Misery Loves Company Part Deux. Hole #13 is officially in my head. Another bad drive (in the water) and another triple bogey. I finished the round at (+5). Since my first two rounds were crap. I decided to finish up the tournament. It is such a great course it hurt playing so bad lol. Round 3 I'm seeing some improvement. I managed to only double bogey hole #13. It's not that hard of a hole but it is giving me nightmares! I finished the round at (+3). Sitting at a dismal (+9) to start R4. I set a realistic goal of trying to work it down to (+5). Based on my previous 3 rounds I wasn't sure if it would happen. I managed to get a par on hole #13!!! A chip in for birdie on hole #17 and I achieved my goal of (+5). If I could have played hole #13 better I could have finished under par for the tournament. I have to take away the positives and move on to next week! I will post a few shots in shots of the week. Onward!

I just couldn't hit a straight drive on that hole. The course is absolutely stunning!

Round 1 in this PGA Championship with davec187 . With the low sun and the tree surrounded greens I couldn't read the greens at all. Not up/down or left/right. Felt like a 3 putt was to aim for every time. And Dave holed out from all over the place, haha. This course has the ability, like TPC Sawgrass, to make me feel like I have 1 square foot to land every shot on and that I have no control over the swing. And the 13th, @sirwade ... Recognized it at once, a freak of a hole indeed. Hit a drive that felt like a draw/hook only to discover it was a slice, into the water. Couldn't sink the 80 ft putt for par, or the next for bogey. I was grumpy the hole round and yet shot a 75. 2 months back that would have been in the 90's. Aiming for a score under +30 for the tournament.

First round, and my main problem showed itself - my putter was just stone cold. 28,57% medium putts, 0% long putts. Rest is very solid and good golf. And yes, I found fairway on the 13th

Round 2: putter was much better, but now I missed some drives that was severly punished - forestry on the 6th. I really like this recreation, but there is one flaw here, and that is how low he has sunk some trees very close to the greens - like the 6th.

So far you have a decent round going. Keep it going!

Off and away for Round 1. Much better tempo as a bit of range session helped dial it in. The putter was hot to start, just missing a few on the edges and much better speed on the greens. Key par save for momentum was the 13th. Hit the fairway from the tee but not the best approach. Decent pitch and firm par putt through the break hit the back of the jar and in. Back to back perfect approaches left tap-ins for birdie and eagle on 15 and 16. Surprised the 3 wood was that close on the par 5. Had a huge left to right swinging birdie putt on the last from 28 feet that just missed. Really wanted that one to get to double digits. Quite pleased with a clean scorecard as well on a tough course.

Round 2 in these beautiful surroundings. Paired up with andersnm to see his putter glow and so it did. Always a good short game and now a hot putter, watch out! I had to do as yesterday, wait a while before posting. This course makes me mad. I played well and was -2 before hitting the rough from the 18th tee. Decided before the ball landed that a pitch short of the creek was the only option. But then it was only 175-ish yards to the pin and roughly 145 over the creek. Took 3 clubs extra to be on the safe side and STILL WENT INTO THE WATER! A triple later and I left fuming. I saw that round 3 will offer very high winds. How nice, haha! I better stick to +30 as a goal.

You had a great round going Mike until the triple bogey on 18. hammers1man must have missed that one. I have no choice but to disqualify all PC players for this tournament! ๐๐บ๐บ๐บ
