Changed up the swing waggle to try and stop that flare right fade that seems to be my miss. Seemed to help in practice rounds prior to my Final Round. Front nine gave myself fairly decent chances that burned the edges. Some were above the hole and slider putts. Didn't force anything but knew I left some strokes on that front side. Swing and putter caught fire on the back but just wasn't able to save par on the 15th. After catching Paddy, the clubhouse leader, knew I had to at least try and go as low as I could. Made the eagle putt from 35 feet out on the par 5 16th after a partial 3 wood from the fairway. Then birdie-birdie to finish the round. Glad to finally put four rounds together for a USE event. Another fantastic course by yeltzman. Finished at -23. Great scoring! Will be miles ahead till Booze plays haha!

Teeing off with fellow hammer SimChars1968 at Hoylake who's great play helped me raise my game. Been really impressed how much Simon's game has improved to become a really solid golfer, he played some lovely shots. My driver wasn't great but I had a real feel for these greens as it's my favourite green speed, 29ft,20ft and a tough breaking 12ft putt including a chip in were the birdies. Also quite a few long 2 putts. 100,100,25% are pretty good putting stats for these greens. Really good RCR yeltzman absolutely loved playing this course. Got done on the 16th just missed the fairway on the right, hit the approach straight at the pin but landed in the rough on the right to be O.B. in hindsight would not have wasted those 2 strokes but still finished under par at -1.

Cheers for the kind words Paul. Playing this way has been a real ride of ups and downs, but the more I play like this it is amazing how much you can adapt to not having the playing aids, and a great challenge it is too. Really pleased all the Admins keep this going and thank you for all the work you do. I'd like to wish all the USE'ers a very happy and hopefully a more normal New Year. Cheers Simon

Cheers Simon It is the downs that makes the ups feel so good. Most of us here have those rounds that make you want to throw those clubs in the bin. Those great starts and terrible back 9 collapses or those terrible starts and amazing back 9 fight backs. Thanks to all our members and my fellow admin for making this game so enjoyable to play. I am loving playing Anders' schedule this year, such a great diversity of great courses😃 Happy New Year everyone and hopefully everyone is safe and well.

Good playing all so far, will tee off either tomorrow or slam them all out Saturday. -23 is no joke!

Clubhouse leaderboard updated. Pardon my ignorance Paul, but where is the leaderboard viewable?
