This week we play Oakmont Pro-Am at Oakmont Country Club in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The course was established in 1903 designed by Henry Fownes. Oakmont Country Club has second to Augusta National hosted the most major championship and is regarded as one of the hardest courses in the world. Good luck to all  |

Putting was the main focus in getting ready for Oakmont as I haven't been rolling it very well the past two weeks. Spent an hour on the practice green this morning. Ball striking wasn't as good which led to an up and down round. Still good to see the ball go in the hole compared to Bethpage. Something to build on for the next round.  |

Played rd 1 last night and played really well shooting -4 which is far and away my best round so far on USE and was debating about whether to continue or not as I was getting ragged towards the end of the round but decided to start rd 2 anyway.
Treble bogeyed the 1st hole and turned my console off.... Terrible decision on my part!

You get on a "Hot" streak and want to ride that out and end up crashing and burning in the 2nd round. I stick to one round per sitting anymore. |

It’s a tough one, did it in the elite event last week and my 4th round on the bounce was a 58 with the 3rd round a 65, sometimes it pays off but I was definitely getting loose towards end of first round, had it -5 after not many, greedy me! |

Had a practice round today at Oakmont such a great course, really impressed how good it looks in this game. Some tricky greens on the default 171 speed.

I think I finished R1 somewhere around E par. I dunno for sure; it was late and there was alcohol involved.

Went +2, +4, +3, +1 for a +10 total.
Drove well in first 2 rounds but apart from a couple of early birds, left myself too many longs putts and some 3 putts ensued.
Lost my driver in Rd3 and Rd4 had a couple of silly holes but actually hit some nice approaches when I found the fairway.
Hard course in USE set up though. Good luck all.
One aspect of the game irking me is the often when the ball has missed the hole and you want to watch the ball finish it's run to get the line of the return putt, the game switches to the golfer animation and you don't see the ball run out. Even if I've pressed the "1" key to change camera view, it occasionally switches to my players exasperated reaction to the ball sliding by the hole. Nooooooo!! Is there a setting in the game to change this? Cheers

Mix up on Round 2 pins at Oakmont for players on Xbox. Created a backup society named USE Secondary with conditions for Rounds 2 thru 4. Sorry about the inconvenience to our USE Xbox players.
