Decided to follow Anders lead now I've learnt the craft and I'm taking on an iconic and exclusive US course.
I've sourced the LiDAR and will lay out the Championship Course intended for the 2022 US Open.
Will let you guys know when it's done! Probably next year!

I’m sure I’ll get on a roll with it, I’m doing all 27 holes on the plot so I can publish the members course as well as the Championship version so that might take a while, also having to do a lot of scouting for footage (the don’t have a public website) and I’m desperately trying to find 99 Ryder cup footage but not sure if they played the same routing I’m doing or not, it’s a minefield which is probably why I couldn’t find a good version on the game!

Still early days, just in the process of re-aligning splines, smoothing bunkers, tees and paths before I move onto external fencing, buildings and eventually trees and grass. Really enjoying it so far as it's a fascinating course. There's a par 3 they are re-introducing for the 2022 US Open so I'm keeping an eye on how Gil Hanse will re-shape the green so I can follow suit. Here's a couple of early snaps, the brilliant 3rd hole Green and the incredible tee shot off 4 and the tiny green at the end of it!      |

You're not wrong, I set the greens to maximum speed to help me get my placements right so there's a couple of ledges in orange that I've just smoothed slightly to make sure the ball sticks there, I'll also turn down the speed a little before publishing which should make sure it's all playable. P.S please ignore the dodgy fairway transition, I'm re-doing all of them as they guy who mapped on OSM had them a little funny near the green but it's easily fixed, even if a little time consuming |

Had another busy day on this (getting the feeling I've got many many more ahead before we open the gates! Another update from the other day I forgot; I'm now onto the planting fully, today I added the highways and streets to the background and planted the trees around the first including the starters hut and some range buildings. Here's the progress;     |
