Some PGA stats to compare with USE for the 2020 season.
Average Course Yardage on the PGA tour is 7,200 Yds. (We don't always have to play from the tips)
Scoring Average - TOUR Average 71.109
Driving Distance - TOUR Average 296.3 Yds.
Driving Accuracy Percentage - 60.26% (FIR)
Greens In Regulation - 66.31% (GIR)
Putts Per Round - TOUR Average 29.04
Putts Per Hole - TOUR Average 1.613 (PPH)
Scrambling - TOUR AVERAGE 58.46%
For realistic scoring information
Edit: Updated to include the Tour Championship results. Patrick Cantlay wins with a score of (-21).
I can see both sides of the Pro vs Master debate. I wanted to see the PGA winning tournament scores, for the current 2020-2021 season. I did not have the time to average top to bottom scores for each tournament. Maybe I can do this at a later date. I did not include any match play or team play events.
I had a total of 48 events throughout the season. The lowest score was last week at the BMW Championship where Patrick Cantaly shot (-27). There were two tournaments at (-25). The Plantation Course at Kapalua and TPC Craig Ranch. There were 3 scores that were the highest at (-6). They were Winged Foot 2020, Kiawah Ocean Course 2021 and Torrey Pines 2021.
So the median winning score for 48 PGA events is -17 or (-16.58333333) Everyone can draw their own conculsions. I don't see an issue for a Pro and Master Tour and let players choose what fits them best. I think players can move to one or the other based on their enjoyment and competitiveness for the game. For me, I seem to lose focus if I'm not playing Master. I don't always play great but my concentration is much better. But honestly, I have enjoyed both Pro and Master.

Putts per hole 1.81 which is getting better each round. I think my stats will improve a lot after this week

FIR is 50.90%, GIR 58.14%, Scrambling at 67.78% and PPH 1.56. I normally choose distance off of the tee, but trying to shape it into the fairways sometimes doesn't work out. From there it's scrambling and relying on the short game to save pars. Probably not the most ideal way to go about it. Which is why I'm constantly trying to work on just getting the ball in the fairway. Along with keeping the short game sharp on the practice green. When I don't work on my game, I can see a lot of the feel isn't there. Probably one of my favorite parts of this game is maintaining all aspects of the game with practice. It's funny how sometimes irl golf follows our counterparts in game. When I played a lot of golf. I was fairly long off the tee, average ball striker with irons and short game was what held it together.

Almost doesn’t matter what your tee to green stats are when you’re only taking 1 1/2 putts per hole. Well done! 😀
