We need a poll for the Distance Control Meter settings for USE. The question is to have this as Percentage Only or Off. The game is designed to set an intent on your partial shots. This allows the game to make dynamic changes to the tempo on partial shots. The less % you set, the slower the swing tempo is required to get a perfect tempo. This is according to the devloper to get a more natural feel for partial shots. As far as I have tested the game, a 100% tempo on a partial, feels very fast. So I agree with the developer that a slower tempo feels more natural. The game also chooses partials for you and also sets an intent for you. From what I have experienced - this is mostly too long, and many times wrong. To be able to see the %, you need to have pre-shot feedback on in the settings. The poll is here - because it seems we have some disagreement for this setting and what is most realistic. So put in your vote - and discuss it

This is a tough one because it only really effect the pitch which I feel is too fast a backswing and tempo for partial shots at 100%. But I don't like the game telling me what percentage either, percentage meter is basically the same as marker but it displays percentage instead. I don't think the game was designed for 100% on shorter pitch shots, the backswing and tempo feel too fast but it is possible. I think everyone should test this for their own opinions.

It’s a tough one because I agree intent needs to be lowered to slow the swing for partials BUT I feel strongly that having percentages on display goes against what USE is about - a true SIM experience.
I’ve found that it’s still possible to just tap the intent stick down a couple of times if you feel the practice swing is too fast, typically a tap down changes it by 1-3% so you have to guess a little bit but that’s what golf is in real life, it’s a feel not an exact science.
I’ve found I shoot very similar scores with it turned on or off so it’s not a playability issue for me.
Having the percentage turned on defies everything we strive to achieve here, we are so militant about making this a true sim experience and having “dial a pitch” would go against that and in the end people will get so good at changing intent that we will get up and down from everywhere.
It’s a no from me!

It’s a no from me! I see your points Paddy and agree, tbh TST with marker only will be tempo manipulated by everyone for short shots. Pulling back to 60% is a ridiculously slow backswing for the shot. I would of preferred tempo to be locked to 80% for pitch shots as it feels more realistic at that speed and tempo to me. Slamming the stick forward the same as a full shot for partial pitches just feels wrong. But I don't want the short game to be too easy, that's why I feel the splash should be restricted to bunkers. If we can just slow that tempo down with Paddy's suggested method I am happy with that. I voted off also.

I had a test with the percentage off - and I like it.
For me, the biggest change is on the green. I find with the % I get alot of helpful information in reading the speed of the putt actually. I was not aware of it before playing with it off - as I must have taken more notice of the % than I realised. All good though, more realistic judging the speed on putts. To have that % on putting, is so much help, that I need to vote for this to be off (that % also takes into account downhill, green speed etc, so you get tons of free information in reading the speed of the putt).

No offense, but they sure have messed up the short game, in my meager opinion. But regardless, I prefer/voted OFF.
Also, if someone has time, can you please accept my request to join? Please and thank you. 🙂

I've been checking the society page; not sure what the heck I was looking at, but I kept thinking the top box was asking me if I wanted to join and the bottom box was for cancelling a request. So I was just sitting here like an idiot "patiently" waiting. Didn't even notice it had been approved and I needed to click the top box to JOIN. smh.
