Patch 1.06 is out now.
Doesn't appear there are any gameplay improvements.
2K Sports and HB Studios has today released the PGA Tour 2K21 update 1.06 December 3 patch, which introduces the Clubhouse Pass to the game, as well as a new golf course!
PGA Tour 2K21 Update 1.06 December 3 Patch Notes: The Season 1 Clubhouse Pass runs from December 3 to March 3, 2021, and includes 75 levels of gear, VC (Virtual Currency), cosmetic items and more. All players can earn XP in any mode to advance through the Clubhouse Pass levels. Check out the pricing for the Clubhouse Pass below. There are three Tiers to the Clubhouse Pass:
Free: This tier allows you to access 15 free levels of the 75 levels in Season 1. Every five levels you pass, you’ll receive a reward;
Premium Pass ($7.99): Access all 75 levels of rewards;
Premium+ Pass ($14.99): Access all 75 levels of rewards, plus skip the first 20 levels and automatically unlock those rewards.
There’s also a new free golf course available called The Detroit Gold Club course which is also out today!
Lastly, HB Studios has announced that some holiday-themed cosmetic items will be making their way into MyPlayer, so keep an eye out for that too.

Disappointing doesn’t come close to describing how I feel about this money-grab of a patch.

I don't have a problem what so ever with the pay for cosmetic items and clubs model and 8 dollars to unlock 75 items is actually very cheap compared to other games especially if you really want the Mizuno clubs. Considering the amount of time we play the game it will always be fantastic value for money. Surprised they didn't jump on the pay for new courses model but there are hundreds of top courses so do they really need to.

I am also not bothered by pay for cosmetic stuff.
But this career mode, and this stuff - is not interesting for me - in combination with the unrealistic club attributes. The only good career mode I have played yet, is the TW 08 (avoiding Tiger Challenge, and keeping the points even on the skills, so not all in power) - made for a very nice progression, starting off with some good hack, amateur tour, EA Sports Tour, then the PGA Tour. Much deeper than the shallow career mode in this game with a non-interesting Q-School, 6 week short Korn Ferry.. Yes, the TW 08 career is not without flaws, but it shows what is possible. So even though they expand the real courses, there is no way I am going to play any more of the career mode in this game (even if they have only real courses, it falls short on experience). I only played a few short tournaments to unlook some equipment, and that is not a good critique of the career mode.
But yeah, a new official new course and tournament - can be used in USE if we want to play the Rocket Mortage on the official course. The new stuff - meh, no I am not going for the mizuno clubs due to the attributes. Clothes? No, not worth it. So this whole clubhouse tier thing, is just not a thing I like in a sports game. I would however like a skill system in the single player career mode, where I evolve my skills as I go along, in combination to manage my money to have entry fee for tournaments, travel costs etc. They could include caddy as a thing - to help reading line on the green, suggest different shot options - and you could hire caddies with different skills. Those things, would keep me interested in the career mode. Not this kind of stuff they have with this patch.

I really didn't like the career mode on TW08, never been a fan of golf games that get easier the more you progress and it got worse with the later console games. Tiger 2004 was the best single player with up to 4 player local play seasons. You could totally edit your whole season with user generated courses and play that season with up to 3 people locally. I got more out of that game solo plus with friends than any other golf game because you were free to play the season how you liked. The TW career modes that followed felt restricted to me.

We are different in what we like, and that is okay in single player. A simple turn on or off a skill system solves this. And yeah, totaly agree on customization for the seasons. Links 2003 was very easy to customize and share season schedule and rosters.

I can gladly say that the designer has become much more smooth - it is ALOT faster to scroll through the object pages like the 35 tree pages. Also to use tab instead of right mouse click to choose theme objects or used objects are very nice.

Thanks Wade. Don't you just love their level of detail? lol Yes, it's stunning lol. Not sure why they can't give better explanations. It wouldn't take that much to give a breakdown. It is baffling that such a good and promising game has such a lousy communication dept. There is no reason for it. Its illogical and counter productive too. They are making big bucks so it cant be a financial thing. Could it just be stupidity? Carelessness? What could be so difficult to understand that you need to communicate with your clients if you want to grow even further and getting your product to the next level? Amazing.

PGA Tour 2K21 Gets 60 FPS Support On PS5 And PS4 In Latest Update
A post on the 2K forums from the publisher confirms the update and it can be activated by going to Settings, then Graphics, and changing the VSync option to 60 Hz, instead of the default 30 Hz. One user on Reddit even called the new update “buttery smooth” and “an entirely new experience”, thanks to the extra frames-per-second. This option is available on PS4 and PS4 Pro, but the game will more confidently hit that 60 FPS cap on PS5.
