WELCOME TO THE EL CAMALEON MAYAKOBA GOLF COURSE FASCINATING. ENIGMATIC. CLEVER. A masterpiece as unique as its creator, the legendary and world renowned Australian golfer Greg Norman, features three diverse ecosystems: the tropical Mayan jungle, mangrove wetlands and the beach. This 7,017 yards par 71 layout plays along several miles of crystal- clear fresh water canals surrounded by mangrove and limestone walls. The course boasts two ocean holes with astonishing views of the turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean Sea and Cozumel Island. El Camaleon made golf history in 2007 when it became the host site of the Mayakoba Golf Classic, the first PGA TOUR event to be contested outside the US and Canada. Matt Kuchar set a new 54-hole tournament record at Mayakoba Golf Classic with 193 (-20) EL Camaleon's signature hole is the Par 3 15th.

I hit the ceremonial opening tee shot to get the Mayakoba Golf Classic started. I played decent in the opening round and almost had a clean card. R2 was a little bit tougher and my putter let me down numerous times lol. Holding on at -6 after 2 rounds. Good Luck to everyone at the Mayakoba Golf Classic!

For Round 2 I was fighting tempo the whole round. Every other shot was either very slow, or fast. really made aiming and planning a bear. (I really hope the next game fixes this!)
That said, even constantly in the water and trees off the tee, I still somehow managed to have a really good round, except for a triple and a double which totally wrecked the final scorecard.

Rounds 3 and 4 are in the books. R3 I played really well and the putter was on. R4 I was playing well until a miscalculation on #7 and ended in the cave bunker. Another miscalculation getting out (Greedy) and hit the rocks and resulted in a double bogey on the hole. This followed with more miscalculations and a bogey fest lol. R3 -7 and R4 +1 for a total of 12 for the tournament. Tough course, we were tied up after R3. ]I was surprised at the end. I shot -7 I think in R4

I fell apart after my stop at the cave bunker lol. I should have just hit the SW out but went with the 9. It hit the rocks and bounced into the woods. I double bogeyed and got rattled after that lol. I think I was a -17 before the DB. I tried to make the course as realistic to the real one as possible. I am updating a few things so I can port it to the new game in a few weeks. The average winning scores over the last 6 PGA Tournaments is (-19.5).

@sirwade I haven't played the other version as I think I was in Florida at the time. Really nice course I really enjoyed playing it, some really nice looking tee shots in the lighting. I really enjoy courses with a lot of trees and I think this course will be very difficult in the next game as it is quite tight. Love the fairway bunker on 6 and the big boulder to the right on I think the 10th green. Memorable holes on this course and I think that is what all good courses should have, I am really looking forward to your next RCR in PGA 2K21 keep it up sir. . I gave it 5 stars. Played with Simon and Josia , good 3 ball who both played some great stuff. Got to 5 under but 3 silly mistakes for a poor finish.

I have been doing touchups on the course. I used Anders suggestion and added 2 more sets of tees, for a total of 5 like the real course. I'm looking forward to the 2k21 videos tomorrow to see what the new game has to offer.

Firstly, to @sirwade, congrats on your great design. One thing that stood out for me was the beautiful smooth greens. No funky little irregularities that I've seen on a lot of greens. Everything rolled nice and true and I felt confident over putts. Mind you, this week I think we were spoilt with greens on the slow side. 187's may cause some havoc. Had slow starts in Rd's 1 and 2 but the par 5's were kind and ended up -8, -7. Then the putts started dropping and a few chips went in, finished with -11 and -12 for -38 total. Drove the ball well but I did manage to find the bunker on 7 in Rd4. Had rocks almost right above me so it was a LW flop back toward the tee. Managed to get on in 3 and 2 putt for par. Cheers
