Went -8, -5, -8, -8 for -29 overall.....sorry GW_Hope, got ya by a shot with a 2 putt birdie on the 72nd hole. Geez, my mid-long range putting lines were all over the place. Was lucky to get it inside 3 feet on anything over 15 ft. Pace was good, just couldn't get the breaks 90% of the time. Rd2 yardages were mostly in-between clubs. Back 9 was rubbish. I think first time I've played the course in USE mode, much trickier proposition without green grids. Cheers and good luck all. I kind of figured R3 was going to hurt so no apology needed. Lol

Played a really good practice round yesterday, so went in to play my first two rounds. Awful. Managed to get under par late in round 1, so started round 2, went in the water twice on hole 2 and rage quit. (Good decision, despite the rage.)
Wasn't going to finish, to be honest, but I don't want to be someone who quits mid tournament as soon as they know they're not going to do well. Just played my rounds now, speeding round to get it done.
I'm just sick of the inconsistency. It makes the good tournaments not even as fun as they should be. Sick of NEVER playing at, or near, my best for 4 rounds, sick of seeing endless lip outs and burned edges. Sick of knowing I won't do as well as I want to.

I think that just about sums up the game of golf!

I think I'm putting too much pressure on myself and that's when I screw up lol. I need to just play and say WTF and relax.

I got one round in, but its now Friday and with three more to go, I see no reason to try to squeeze all that in.
Sorry guys, I've hit the point in this game to where if I feel like it I play, but if I don't, I don't worry about it. Its a game, no reason for me to sit and waste time playing if I don't feel like it, when I could be playing something else that I want to. Skyrim and Need for Speed have taken most of my play time this week.

Have gone through times when it’s just get your rounds in for the week as I’m enjoying playing another game etc. Had the popcorn out for the old L v J, always good. Obviously some game fatigue. Maybe no Von Neumann Probes nearby yet. 🍷

Very nearly gave this week a miss but as this is one of my favourite courses in the game I couldn't turn the challenge down. Tee to green the best I've played this season but I have missed so many birdie and par putts under 7 foot down to 3 foot it is getting silly. Highlights

Same as me Paul - tons of short misses this week. Seems like you can beat me though

I don't normally play 4 rounds in a night but the long game was really on song tonight and in round 4 I didn't have the putting yips. Happy with my performance considering I putted awfully under 7 foot this week.

The thing is if it was easy to be consistent it would take away the highs of a really good round. Golf is frustrating I had 4 horseshoe putts on Sunday with the pin in putting irl. The difficulty is spot on here imo that it's hard to be consistent and when it is easy that's when it get routine and boring. As Simon says that's golf...

I finally have a pc up and running, played 9 holes on masters and just didn’t enjoy it. Undecided whether I’ll use it for golf or just for driving games as planned. I know you don’t want to, but drop to Pro for a week. You’ll enjoy it way more with way less stress. Only a month or two and we’ll have a whole new set of problems, might as well enjoy this one for the short time we’ll still be using it.

Finished -27 I believe. Reminded me a lot of my putting experience at Rocket Mortgage, soooo many putts just rolling over the edge. It got pretty infuriating, definitely started playing too fast at times as a result.
On a side note. Im not sure when this started (Logic says it’s probably when I got a new controller a while back) but it’s really become a nightmare to hit a perfect/perfect flop. So many of my downswings are slow, then I’ll get fast trying to not get a slow. Then I’ll get very slow trying to not get a fast lol. Never used to have this problem, I remember just effortlessly getting perfects before. Weird.
