Hi all, I just published my first Lidar Course. It is a local course of mine that I have played countless times over the past 30 years. The name of the course is Newport News G.C. VA (L). If you get a chance to play it let me know what you thought. Thanks!

I have taken a look and played a round here Wade. Good job for your first RCR First a question: did you use lidar trees? From the pictures I looked at of the course, it is hard to get a feeling of how dense the trees should be, but I think it could be a little bit more dense. Problem with lidar trees, are that in dense forests etc - there will not be enough trees, underbrush etc. Also - I use the auto-gen trees to get trees on the surrounding terrain. Other than that, splendid job with nice waters, bunkers, fairways and greens.

I can't remember if I loaded the lidar trees or not. Looking back I should have just used the dark green trees. I thought it would make it look dull so I used a variety. I was really impressed with how the terrain turned out. Very realistic to the course.
