Just enjoying other societies at the moment. I have recently started my own using Legend settings from which I am getting good positive feedback. My main gripe with the settings is not having the scout cam. I find, especially with these settings, that you need to know the undulations on and around the greens so you can aim at the correct portion of the greens and know where there a roll-offs when a pin is near the edge etc. You can't pick this up with the overhead view and on many courses this is screwed up. Actually, having the scout cam on (with reticule off) might be a good idea. I don't think it would give away any info on putts. The pros have detailed info on the courses. What do you guys think hammers1man , colly , Tuffguts ? Not for me Wade. |

Wade TBH I have spent so much time trying to bring in new faces to USE from over at TGCTours, it does get me down losing people here I am done with that and I am more concerned about those that play here now. I am happy to leave scout cam on , I personally won't use it but don't have problems with others using it .Same as shot feedback and pin marker, I would rather have Simon here as he is my PC rival and a long time USE player, we should be looking at making USE better not just absolute rules. Also I think we should have 10 or 8 week series/seasons for both Linksland and Master Tour, a 52 week season is a complete negative right now. I have been guilty of letting the leaderboards standings go as it used to be hard work and I whave limited time, but I now can post leaderboards and ranking tables at the start of tournaments and all admin can keep them up to date as it is a live google sheet. Maybe the coming week could be the start of a 10 week season for both Linksland and Master Tour, should we keep Master tour 4 rounds or maybe drop down to 2?. Colly curates Linksland courses and Wade Master Tour, I do think it will be cool to have a major for each series on a real major course. What do you guys think? |

I think having scout cam on without the aim marker would be fine, you can't see exactly where the shot will land, and that is presuming you hit it pure, and on master/legend that doesn't happen often. I feel without that you are always playing blind to the fairway/green. It just becomes very frustrating when you play what you think is a good shot and then the undulations undo you. If you want to carry on as is then that is fine, I will pursue other societies. |

Paul, I'm fine with the shorter seasons. I would like to keep playing 4 rounds on Master Tour. Merging points with Linksland is a nice idea as well. I'm fine with or without scout cam. |

I do think golf is about hitting blind irl you find your aiming target, but it is true pro's green maps and even a good course guide give the topography around the greens. It is an aid for aiming but so is pin marker imo. |

How we merge points with 2 tours I am not sure how it will work, but I would like Linksland as 2 round as I think it is great now as it is, though that is Colly's choice. I will just use the next 10 courses on our current schedule. The Championship course will be Winged Foot West. If everyone concurs. It should be a real tester! |
