All set up on PC. It is still only me and Paul that are members in the PC extra society - so if Paul plays this on PS4 - I am the only one to play on PC. artvandelay , Tuffguts , polekatt/josia - more fun is waiting!

I honestly don't have the time for another tournament each week. I like to play too many other games!

That's fair enough mate. Just trying to encourage/guilt as many as I can to join in the other comps Would be really cool if we could get over 10 per week in all 3 USE competitions. That's my vision. I think we can achieve that. Possibly need to get more active on tgc forum again. We've gone pretty stale over there recently...

I am nearing Nina in loving my follow cam more than USE. I put up with it for the regular USE events. I guess I could put up with it for another during these times where I am home more and have time for more events.
As far as more players, you realize playing USE takes a certain kind of player willing to sacrifice certain aids BY SWITCHING THEM OFF THEMSELVES! Unlike TST, you have to make an effort to play the right way. More golfers looking to play this game in a realistic way would play USE. Unfortunately I think TGCT has more gamers playing pixel golf trying to be Pixel Tiger in any way they can, which is quite opposite of what we try to get with this game.
Just IMO, maybe it's the stay at home getting to me. Going for a drive with Mrs. V shortly, take in some natural beauty from the safety of my windshield.
BBL.
Onward!

I never quite understood this follow cam thing, why do you feel you need/like it so much? You are of course absolutely right about USE being a niche thing, but I did notice when all the debate about exploits in the game were happening, a few of us guys chimed in saying how it relates to USE, and we got some join requests straight after. I do think when people hear how it works, including loft box off and our honour code, people get very tempted. They may not want to hang around for long though once they start playing 😂

Really that is what I get out it, nothing strategic. But I get why it's not in USE, mainly so you cannot see an approach shot land on the green an get a feel for the green's contour that IRL you would not get. I honor the honour code and do not play with the follow cam, I still use it for other rounds I have. Truth be told, I never use the loft box, never chip out of bunkers, no intentional slows, I only play turn based (everything else is a turn off) and last time I checked short flicking with a mouse is not possible. I play this way in ALL rounds. Remember the honour code cause there are still plenty of gamers out there who just want to win, not honor any honour code. We have had a case of this in the recent past, hope to never have that situation happen again. That drama had me very close to leaving USE for good. USE is a solid community, even if it is split between super humans and folks who are quite content with events finishing just north or south of par. We don't need any gamers coming here to conquer USE any way they can. Sorry for the rant. Just returned from our walk and a little keyboard tickling was a good way to wind down. Now to some truly horrible pixel golf. Onward!

Agree with everything else you say, except to point out that you are NEVER allowed to leave us! Especially for a rubbish reason like other people's drama. We always get past that stuff pretty quick. Tough to avoid entirely when multiple anonymous people frequent all these places.

Now to some truly horrible pixel golf. Onward! I am totally with you on appreciating the beauty of the hole but you do get that in the fly by on each hole. Maybe one of the reasons I take so long each round is I like to take in the look and feel of the course. The emersion is good for a video game. I was not a fan of the follow cam as it doesn't show ball flight, that is one of my favourite parts of USE watching my ball fly off into the distance. Yes it is tempting to know where the ball ended up but that is exactly like real life. I holed out from 95 yards a few years ago irl on a blind uphill shot. Knew I hit a good shot and thought I must of overhit it as the ball wasn't on the green, imagine my surprise when I looked into the hole 😲. I always watch my great approach shots, chips, pitch, putts after I finish the hole from the different camera options. I would watch my ghost opponents shots also if the game showed the correct shot, totally broken there. I never speed golf so I love taking in the beauty of the hole more so now then ever before.
